To mark the occasion, they made us a mixtape of some of their favorite tracks, new and old, spanning different eras and sounds.

Combo Chimbita is a Brooklyn-based band with Colombian roots. They’re known for their innovative fusion of Colombian & Afro-Caribbean sounds with psychedelia, dub and rock elements. Alex is joined by 3 of the 4 members of the band: Carolina Oliveros, Niño Lento es Fuego and Dilemastronauta (shout out to the absent Prince of Queens). They have a chat about coming together as a band, their roots, influences, their musical process and so much more. Watch the Episode on the Waterloo Records YouTube channel (Link in Bio) or listen anywhere you get your podcasts.

¡Viva la música! ¡Viva Latinoamérica Presente!
The first-ever Latin American Music Fest at @fitzgeraldsnightclub & @fitzgeraldssidebar was SOLD OUT! And what a beautiful night it was.

Thank you to everyone who came out, danced, sang, supported, and celebrated with us.

We belong here. This is our home.
We make this city and this country better through our contributions, not only as musicians, dancers, and artists, but as teachers, construction workers, electricians, poets, taqueros, landscapers, doctors, activists, cultural workers, parents, neighbors, etc..

A very special GRACIAS to Will and Jess Duncan, and the entire FitzGerald’s family, for trusting @pachankachicago and opening its doors to our vision. Thank you for believing in Latino artists and in the power of music to bring people together. And to every band, dancer, vendor, and artist who participated in any way: you are keeping our culture alive.

¡La Cultura Cura!
¡Sí se pudo! ¡Viva Latinoamérica!
