Recently, I have been given the opportunity to gather women together monthly in the Scottsdale through the blessing of @powertimeforpowerladies 🌟⭐️🌟

I cannot emphasize enough how it has become one of the most important learning experiences that keeps the blessings coming.

It shows up with meaning and purpose in the spirit of community, and it shows up in those who gather with us each month and the growth in connection to the spirit of sharing our passions, our labors of love, time, skills, and most of all, I have seen compassion.

You never know how you’re going to connect with others unless you’re open and after resisting for so long, this was one of the most important decisions I could see clearer, the importance of ploughing through fear, and turning it into having faith in the process of building true community around compassion, support and understanding.

All of our amazing hosts have truly shown up as angels in support of the women gathering in the community. Thank you beautiful souls @richauco @bnakedchocolates ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our next chapter event is July 14th and our monthly second Tuesday of the month are always free to attend. DM if you would like more details on how to attend a gathering🌟

I had the privilege of working with an incredibly special couple in Italy on a recent expedition. The therapeutic value of working in an outdoor environment by the sea, and within the natural thermal springs of Negombo is like no other.

Bodywork, for me, is deeply focused and something that is not limited or defined by a particular technique. I understand it as an entirety, movement with a comprehensive-whole and very human connective engagement.

The body, the mind and the depth of an individual’s core consciousness can be involved and it is a present moment-to-moment experience.

A check-in rather than a check-out.

We, as humans, are directly involved in our entire experiences. We have affect and an effect on every aspect of our internal and external environment.

There truly it’s not a description for this work. It is an experience and I am privileged to work within this movement.

To all I have had the privilege of working with, thank you for warmly welcoming me into your world.

I look forward to our next meeting.

Many blessings beautiful souls.

@kay_coastal you are a dream and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you and Eric 🙏🏻💙🦋

$Today is the continuation of BKS Iyengar. Today is also the last day of classes for my yoga therapy program I began in August 2014 which was built at the college around Iyengar yoga, with teachers, who studied in the lineage of BKS Iyengar. Yoga has been a big part of my life since I was a child. You may even see my dad in the reel. He exposed me to the practice of yoga, when I was a young child. I am grateful that yoga has been in my life for so long. I never wanted to be a yoga teacher. I wanted to be a psychotherapist and help people discover themselves and support their growth and understanding along with me… I initially started my masters in counseling before I realized yoga was calling, and it quickly became a self study practice, not to learn how to teach others but to help myself deepen my own knowledge & understanding. It was not an easy road. I feel that practice found me when I needed it the most. As Mr. Iyengar had said he was a sick child and practiced yoga, and his ailments began to heal and disappear as he put in the dedication, focus and hard work. To me, it was as good a time as any to recover myself, and dive deeply into the timing of life events that would tear me apart physically and emotionally to the present moment. Yoga was always there to assist me in the rebuilding of a stronger foundation, learning about resilience and the process of pain and healing, both mentally and physically. This was due to my practice, the support of the teachers and the leadership of BKS Iyengar’s sharing of his story and practice. This is a fraction of my journey with yoga, after I made the commitment to study deeply, therapeutically, with introspection first. When I committed to the program I had aspired to meet Mr. Iyengar & study with him one day. He would ascend from his earthly body August 20th, 2014, I officially graduate today, the 105th Continuation of Mr. Iyengar with completion of yoga therapy under the guidance of his philosophy & practice. Thank you for the love and support on this beautiful journey as I continue as an educator & practitioner ❤️ #yoga #Iyengaryoga #yogatherapist #yogatherapy$
