Was it the beginning or the end?

Keep going boys, as always, hit me up to share your veteran owned business free of charge, help finding a job, someone to just hear you out. I’m here for the boys.

I used to believe I was invincible.

As most young grunts, it was all adrenaline and Marlboro reds.. But now I’m 30, and every morning feels like a quiet roll call of old injuries. knees cracking, back stiff, hearing not quite what it used to be.

I realized the other day, out of nowhere, that the invincibility I carried through 8 years and 4 deployments didn’t fade all at once, it slipped away piece by piece, and I was too busy moving forward to notice. Now it’s gone, and I’m just left taking stock of what’s still standing.

Infantry Month
-
Being an Infantryman is the core of what the Marine Corps and the Army is. Make no mistake, if you’re not Infantry, your sole purpose is to support the Infantry.
-
March isn’t just another month, Infantry Month is about you, the Infantryman. A month to highlight you, for you to take pride in being an Infantryman because being an Infantryman truly is the best job in the military. I extend this to ALL Infantrymen; Marines, Army, doesn’t matter to me, you’re all my brothers and March is our month.
-
Most of the Infantrymen I’ve ever known enlisted for the sole purpose of being Infantry. It’s one of the few MOSs where you are specifically signing up knowing there’s potential for you to take the fight to the enemy; face to face and hand to hand. It might suck now but, one day you’ll look back and realize how awesome it is.
-
Here’s to the Infantry. Happy Infantry Month.

Almost Thanksgiving
-
I’d like you to use this post to coordinate any Thanksgiving get togethers you may be having, whether it’s in the bricks or you’d like to invite any of our brothers into your home. Feel free to comment below.
-
For some young guys this may be their first time away from home for Thanksgiving so it might be nice for them to spend it with the boys.
-
Some of my favorite memories are from holidays spent with the boys so, I’d also like you to send in your Thanksgiving pictures from years past. These can be from deployment, the barracks, doesn’t matter!
-
Thank you, guys. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for you all!

Russian OPSEC sign with confiscated and destroyed devices at a Russian Air Base in Crimea 2022: 'нет! только кнопочный!'
(No! Only push-button phone!) with phones that have been confiscated and destroyed.

The Russian military's policy on operational security in Ukraine is that smart phones and personal devices are being tracked and can easily be detected and located by triangulation. Smartphones have cameras which can be used to record record intelligence useful to the enemy or even their own war crimes.

Any phone is like a cigarette in the dark- a comfort that reveals one's position.

Homesick for a time that no longer exists.

“The mistake you made is thinking that there is still hope. The only hope you have is to accept the fact that you’re already dead. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you’ll be able to function as a soldier is supposed to function: without mercy, without compassion, without remorse. All war depends upon it.”
