💛Great British Bake Off judge, Dame @prueleith DBE, marks the arrival of Fortnum & Mason’s first store outside the capital 🎉 The brand new boutique and ‘Fortnum & Mason On the Go’ kiosk signify a huge moment in the history of Fortnums… Their globally recognised, and quintessentially British Piccadilly store, opened over 318 years ago, in 1707. Over three centuries later, they have now opened a boutique has been designed to be a contemporary interpretation of the retailer’s iconic flagship store in London’s Piccadilly. Just outside the store is Fortnum’s first ever hospitality kiosk. Fortnum & Mason On the Go will offer a selection of drinks and sweet and savoury toasted sourdough crumpets. The retailer has worked with Tom Moore of @mooreish_crumpets to create the Fortnum’s crumpets, which are handmade with a sixty year old starter and fermented with artisanal ingredients. #bicester #bicestervillage #oxford #bakeoff #greatbritishbakeoff #retailnews #GBBO2025 #GBBO #fornums #fortnumandmason #fortnumandmasonbiscuits #fortnumandmasontea #fortnumandmasonhamper

📣Our recent Omnichannel Futures conference brought an immense tapestry of fresh ideas from over 30 retail brands to our highly engaged delegates!💫 • Ann Summers CEO Maria Hollins emphasised the need for physical retail stores - especially with new limitations of online constraints and safe search. • Getting to know individual’s behaviours, and providing meaningful perks as demonstrated by COOK Trading Ltd and American Golf, keeps customers returning. • Security and employee safety: Panellists agreed that body worn cameras help alleviate increased colleague stress in-store.🎦 • Fishpools LTD are effective at using AI tech to transcribe voice calls into notes for customers.☎️📝 • The sensory nature of retail stores still holds great value to allow customers to feel / taste products in-person, like at Bird & Blend Tea Co. B Corp.🫖✨ • Inflation and the impact of the budget: Helen Dickinson, CEO of British Retail Consortium said she had witnessed a great wave of solutions introduced by retailers, showing their resilience.🙌 • Technology opens new avenues for driving speed and efficiency, but it’s the human connection that ultimately wins customer loyalty. #OmnichannelFutures #liveinlondon

On the eve of #InternationalWomensDay I was invited by the awesome @hattycary & Katy Griffiths to speak at an event for @fortnums staff at their great 3rd Floor Studio. It was an honour to be on a panel with women from the Navy Katharine Armstrong, TV news @RoslynCaseyShaw, & in corporate finance, Arabella Slinger, all areas where women are in the minority in senior positions" You will hear more on this from @commsfromtheshed aka Sam Bleazard, Fortnum's Head of Storytelling (top job title) on his LinkedIn post https://bit.ly/IWDFortnumsstaff #IWD2024

♀️🫶 Collaboration with the Lords & the Mssrs for #IWD2024 ♀️🫶 aka Soaps & Sally, Manchester & MOZZO aka What we're doing for #InternationalWomensDay Words from our co-founder Mex @mecca.ibrahim 🤔🤔 I pondered long & hard about what to post on the morning of International Women’s Day (well to be honest with two big events to run today - thanks @mozzocoffee & @theconduitlondon - it came to me in a few minutes) @women_in_food_industry always has been & always will be about collaboration. We're well aware that equality, diversity, & inclusion are not going to come about by groups of women sitting in rooms telling ourselves what we all know! By collaborating across different industries, in male dominated areas like The House of Lords, in long established retail outlets like @Fortnums (Mssrs Fortnum & Mason), we know that men are important to International Women's Day Yesterday lunchtime, I was invited by the awesome @hattycary to speak at an event for Fortnums staff in their 3rd Floor Studio. It was an honour to be on a panel with women from the Navy, TV news, & finance all areas where women are in the minority in senior positions. You will hear more on this from @commsfromtheshed aka Sam Bleazard, Fortnums Head of Storytelling on his LinkedIn Channel & doubtless from me too. The same evening, I went to The House of Lords for the launch party of the @womenoftheyearawards - WoTY. One of our fab ambassadors @irinitzortzoglou (@masterchefuk champion 2019 & cookbook author, honey & olive oil sommelier) has been curating the lunch for WoTY for the past 5 years. This year @annasfamilykitchen is also involved The brilliant actress turned TV drama writer @sallylindsay73 is their President & will be on @thismorning today talking about WoTY 💪 I love Corrie (Sally reminded me that she hadn't been it since 2005) & it was a joy chatting with her. I've hosted & attended a number of events in the run up to #IWD2024 & what comes up time & time again is the power of collaboration. Together, we are stronger. 💪 Hope to see many of you at our Breakfast event this morning with @bettinas_kitchen @dr.fede.amati @twochicksproducts & @nicolamoorenutrition Happy #IWD

I was on my LinkedIn soapbox last week at two events. #barntoboardroom was great fun. Like a retreat for internal communicators out in the Sussex countryside. Loads of familiar faces and friendly people. The day before (last photo) I presented to a women’s network at NatWest. I could talk about the importance of LinkedIn for job search and careers in general for days. I’ll be delivering more training next week. #LinkedIn #linkedintips ⁣#careers #CareerCoaching #CareerCoach #Confidence ⁣ #CareerDevelopment #Careers #CareerChange #CareerAdvice #CareerCoaching #Confidence #InternalCommunications #CorporateCommunications #professionaldevelopment #personalbranding #jobsearchtips #Jobsearching

It’s always such a joy meeting Carmen @carmen_chiu in person! 💗 Probably even Carmen doesn’t know that she’s always been my career inspiration since my first chocolate job 14 years ago when she’s also in the same industry, as a marketing leader for another international chocolate brand. 🍫🌍 I always secretly learn from her from distance of her marketing decisions and strategies, and how she builds the chocolate empire, positioning the brand and working with different partners in HK, Shanghai and New York. 🍫🇭🇰 The luxury chocolate world in Hong Kong is competitive yet absolutely inspiring and joyful, I mean, who doesn’t like to discover and taste chocolate and receive a beautiful chocolate gift bag in events, but being able to talk about Chocolate it’s simply a joy everyday! I’m so glad to have chance getting to know Carmen in person in past few years when we’re now working in the same corporation Fortnum & Mason @fortnums . And utterly grateful knowing that Thomas can learn so closely with her alongside with Richard, you’d be learning so much everyday!
