It’s Halloween today but all I can think of is Halloween 2018 when our babies were still babies and we still had time to plan and execute a photoshoot, organising items and collaborating from interstate and even from the USA, and yes, a flatlay after too! 👻

It’s hard to fathom that this was 7 years ago- I look back at these raw, behind the scene photos and I can feel the passion and so much heart each one of us has within our craft. Nothing has changed with that- but now our babies are grown, times a fleeting with every single week passing by, and you DEFINITELY won’t get 659 likes on a post 😆

I loved this shoot so much, with @somethingwhiteevents being the best hype-woman to get the best photos out of the kiddies, @pribarbosaphoto marveling over the food catered by @hayatandfay, my darling Immy still only 7 years old here, and me wearing a pair of track pants from my late sister-in-law that makes me want to cry right now. It’s the simplest memories.

Happy Halloween, witches and ghouls! Tricks or treats or a bit of both, eat all the candy and chocolates, I can’t wait to see some gnarly costumes and set-ups from today!! Memories are forever 🎃

From 2018 👻 Being a bit of a space nerd, I dreamed up of a celestial-inspired Halloween party and #GhostsAndTheGalaxy was the result! ✨🌙✨ crystal embellished cakes, starry capes, and lots of pink & silver cuteness ☺️

Building the foundation is the most important step in creating any cake masterpiece! 🏠 In this reel, I’m using a house-shaped cake as an example to show how crucial it is to think about structure and placement on the cake board, making sure we leave room for all the final details. This is the messiest part of the process, but it's where the magic begins!

Random things I do as a cake artist

CAKE SKETCHING

Cake sketching for the most unique requests!
This time, my client asked for a cake version of his renovating house, complete with their soon-to-arrive baby (Remy), and their two adorable dogs causing a bit of chaos. Imagine a scene with construction in full swing, the baby giggling in the midst of it all, and pups running wild—it’s going to be a sweet, chaotic masterpiece! 🎨🐾🍼

Can’t wait to bring this vision to life! #CakeSketching #CustomCakeDesign #ChaoticHouseCake #EdibleArt #RENOVATION #ISITCAKE #remy

A couple of months late and my first cake reel, but I'm still really proud of this vanilla bean, white chocolate & raspberry cake with edible flowers that I made for my sister's wedding in July 💕
