Join us for the next conversation in the CLF's Monthly Conversations on Abolition CSAI series. October 20, 2026 at 6 p.m. Link in QR code and bio!

Police violence is surging under Christian nationalist control, and the Bible is being weaponized to justify ICE raids, concentration camps, kidnapping and killings. None of this is new. Conor's book explains how the Bible has shaped the history of U.S. policing and brings us to the present, offering an analysis of a deadly and dangerous moment, and offering an abolitionist counter-reading of the Bible as a means of undermining fascist moral and theological claims.

Part of a reflection and prayer that flows from my arrest last week, the limitations of that form of protest, and the sense we need to be doing so much more — more than many of us are willing to consider. What does it actually take to stop a genocide?

We had an incredible night with Dr. Charisse Burden-Stelly and Derecka Purnell as we discussed strategies of counter-revolution from within their historical legacies and present expressions. It was a blessing to be in conversation with them and everyone who showed up to sharpen our collective analysis and deepen our commitment to liberation struggle.

Thank you to Community Church for sponsoring, The People's Forum for hosting, Starling and AJ for event support, and Jil and Linda for childcare!

‼️FREE ALL OUR POLITICAL PRISONERS‼️

Join New York Abolitionist Union (NYAU) and Community Church of New York (CCNY) at The People’s Forum this Thursday (9/24) from 6:00 - 7:30 PM to investigate and deepen your relationship with abolition and envision abolitionist futures! Dinner will be served. We will read “The Question of Political Prisoners” by Safiya Bukhari, former Black Panther Party member and co-founder of the Free Mumia-Abu Jamal Coalition and Jericho Movement. Political prisoners behind bars— both here in the u.s. and internationally — require our continued remembrance, support, and commitment to enacting our anti-imperialist values. See you there!

The Exodus story moves from prophetic plea, to strategic disruption, and finally: death. We have been pleading. We must now disrupt.

Thank you to our comrades at Kairos Center / Freedom Church of the Poor for having me!

We had a powerful time with Dr. Ori Burton on Friday as we considered Black August and abolitionist worldmaking through the prism of the Long Attica Revolt. All our gratitude to Dr. Burton and everyone who showed up for a rich conversation that ranged from responding to liberal revisions of radical movements, to exploring the spiritual depths that make a revolutionary — and so much in between. Special thanks to @communitychurchny and @peoplesforumnyc for hosting, and @brotherzachary and @starlingivy for assisting. Clips to be posted soon!
