A heartfelt appeal from Gaza 🤍

My family and I are living in a tent surrounded by destruction and war. We are facing unbearable heat and extremely difficult conditions, where even the simplest necessities of life have become a struggle. We are suffering from shortages of food, water, medicine, and basic supplies.

And that is not all… we have injured family members. My brother was injured in the bombing and still urgently needs medical treatment, and my mother is also injured and needs medication and care. We are doing everything we can to support them, but our resources are extremely limited.

I am asking you to please stand with us and help us with whatever you can. Even a small donation can make a real difference in our lives. If you cannot donate, please share this post so it can reach someone who may be able to help us.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our story, or kept us in their prayers. Your support means more to us than words can express. 🤍🙏
🔗 The donation link is in the bio for those who wish to donate. Thank you to everyone who shared this post.

Good hearing is a very important sense to have in dangerous environments like 🇵🇸 that is why we have set up this new campaign to help widow Nahla, one of our 12 sisters urgently get hearing aids.

Nahla lost 2 kids and became a widow in July last year (tragically and coincidentally her son Mahmoud got the news when my son and I were visiting him in Belgium.

Wed love you aid for aids

The funkiest time seeing @durdurband 💃 Such a talented and eclectic mix of musicians 🤘, and a joy to be back at @thejazzcafe in Camden, contender for my favourite Londom venue.

Highlight though was being reunited with @conceptacassar
❤️❤️❤️

Ramadan has ended… the month when we used to gather every day around one table.

But this year, Ramadan was different… It passed without my father and without my brothers, who were martyred.

Their places were empty, and their voices that filled the house were gone.

Every day, our hearts whispered: May God have mercy on you.

And today, Eid is approaching… the first Eid that will pass without you among us.

My father… my brothers… we miss you so much, and your place in our hearts will remain as long as we live.

O God, have mercy on them, accept them among the martyrs, and reunite us with them in Your Paradise.

On International Women’s Day…

Not all women are celebrating today. There are women in Gaza who bear a pain the world doesn’t see.

Women who have lost husbands, sons, and homes, yet they still stand strong and resilient.

My mother is one of these women… A woman worn down by grief after losing her husband and children, her hearing damaged by the explosions, yet she still tries to live and silently endures the pain.

On this day, I say:
All respect to the patient women of Gaza, and all my love to my mother who taught me the meaning of patience and strength.

O God, heal my mother, have mercy on our martyrs, and grant the women of Gaza strength and imminent relief.

On Valentine’s Day…
I do not look for a rose,
I do not wait for a message,
I do not celebrate as others do…
On Valentine’s Day,
I miss my father… my pillar of strength who left as a martyr,
And I miss my brothers… my laughter that rose to the sky.
What love is greater than a love that gave its soul in sacrifice?
What heart is more sincere than one that rose as a martyr?
Oh my father… oh my brothers…
You are the celebration, you are the love, you are the prayer that never ceases.
Your absence is pain, but your memory is a light that fills my soul with patience and pride.
On this day,
I offer you my tears…
And plant upon your graves a rose made of prayer:
O God, have mercy on them in a way that befits Your generosity, and reunite me with them in Your Paradise.
A Valentine’s Day flavored with loss…
Yet held within a heart full of pride.

Suddenly and without warning, shelling and bombing are happening in several places. Now, strong winds are blowing, and the people in the tents are suffering unbearably. Please help us, kind-hearted people!

We (BPAG and collaborators) are here to serve the needs of people in Gaza. It's that simple. See our campaigns in our bios to lend a hand.

2025 was a year of sorrow. It was a year of grief and tragedy. It began with fear for my sister, who was hospitalized for brain surgery, but thankfully she recovered. Then came the second displacement from Rafah, a grueling journey until we finally found a place to pitch our tent. No sooner had we settled in than the devastating event struck: a tent next to ours was bombed, killing my beloved father, my only sister, the light of our home, and my youngest, the joy of our family. They left, taking a piece of my soul with them. It was a year filled with loss and sorrow, but we learned that God grants patience when all else is lost. May God have mercy on my father and brothers, protect my mother, and mend our hearts, which have been worn down by grief. We ask God that the future will be better and that He will compensate us in a way that befits His generosity.

When she recovered, the second displacement from Rafah began. It was a grueling journey. We started searching for a place to pitch our tent, but we couldn't find any space due to the crowds and the influx of displaced people. After a long search, we finally found one spot where we pitched our tent. No sooner had we set up the tent and rested a little than the devastating event occurred. A tent next to ours was bombed, and my beloved father, my only sister Najat (the light of our home), and my youngest brother Majd (the joy of our family) were killed.
