How do you reduce the anxiety of creating content?

First, identify what’s making you anxious.

Is it fear of judgment? Comparison? Not knowing what to say? Not understanding the technology? Or are you unwilling to endure the period when you’re simply not good at it yet?

Be honest about:
1️⃣ where you are
2️⃣ what you want to accomplish
3️⃣ who you’re trying to reach
4️⃣ what do you believe about creating content for social media.

Not every obstacle is a confidence problem. Sometimes it’s a clarity problem. Sometimes it’s a skill problem. Sometimes it’s an expectation problem.

And sometimes, you just need more reps.

You don’t have to be good out the gate. But you do have to begin if you ever expect to become great.

Clarity reduces uncertainty. Practice builds competence. Experience develops confidence.

If you listen to how some educators talk about students you’d think we’re doomed, they say things like students can’t read. They’re great at describing problems but come up short on solutions.

Do some kids struggle to read? Yes.

But, what I’ve found to be true in working with students for over 15yrs within the NYC Public School system is if you create an environment where students can thrive and set excellence as the standard they will exceed your expectations.

Learning doesn’t have to be boring. We created a deck of situational value cards with different scenarios. @msoutlaw suggested creating a podcasting set for the students and the students were locked.

We office out of @conn_corp and we’re grateful for the opportunity to pour into the lives of the students at the Seeds of Success Youth Entrepreneurial Program at The Lab.

Create spaces for young people to thrive. That’s what Jahkeeva and Amina are doing at @conn_corp with the Seeds of Success youth entrepreneurship program.

We spend years in school learning how to take tests, but where do we learn about ourselves? Our approach to branding is through the path of self discovery.

Don’t be afraid to experiment, try something different instead of just chasing trends and following what everyone else is doing.

Yeah it’s safe to copy regurgitate what seems to be working but it’s also lazy, it’s worst than ai slop!

Because as humans we were created in the image of God and in his infinite divine wisdom and creativity he made us all unique individuals.

It’s risky you may not be accepted by the “group” they will look at you different and might even start treating you different. Conformity is a useful dynamic in the workplace churches nonprofits but it’s the fastest way to kill creativity within the individual and institution.

Before you know it you’re churning out bland voices and storylines.
