POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

found family (noun) - A non-biologically related group of people who provide ongoing social support to one another, in the same way that family members might support one another.
Synonyms: family of choice, chosen family, kith and kin

I've been struggling and heavily procrastinating making this post about the last Magiccon (for now). Not only because I can't believe it's already over but also because the weekend has been so emotional and good but also sad in many ways. It felt like nobody was ready to leave the room after the closing ceremony. Usually people want to leave the room and get ready to go home but this time we stayed put.
Magiccon, Hobbitcon, Ringcon, whatever you wanna call it, has been a second home for many of us. Like Mark said, it was a place for the people who felt misunderstood in their everyday life because they were different (and now the tears are coming, writing this part). People who are queer, disabled, neurodivergent, ... , or just different. We felt at home with our con family. We felt safe to be who we are and loved and "normal" (if there even is such a thing as "normal"). And my heart tells me that we will come back home because what we have is special. And this special thing is forever. I believe it. But until we all return to Bonn, I know that we will find each other again and again because we are a family. We are Babylon.

In the words of Mark Ferguson: "this isn't farewell, it's just tschüss." See you at the bar 🫶

‘well, here at last, dear friends, on the shores of the sea comes the end of our fellowship in middle-earth. i will not say ‘do not weep’, for not all tears are an evil.’ 🤍✨🍃
.
and so the last magiccon has come to an end. i have never experienced a con with an atmosphere as loving and welcoming as this one. from watching panels, doing photo ops, meeting the most wonderful people, till shaking ass at the party (iykyk). it has been absolutely incredible. words cannot express how much it has meant to attend this con and be together with people who all love the same things. it really felt like coming home each time.
special mention to the amazing group of people i spent this weekend with. what a privilege it is to be surrounded by so much warmth, love and support. you all have the most beautiful souls 🤍
let’s hope, somewhere in the future, we can all say the words samwise gamgee once said, ‘well, i’m back’.
until next time!✨

I so distinctively remember opening a new document and starting to write. The first story I ever started as a book, and here I hold it in my hands now 🥹 completely surreal would be understating it.

It's been one hell of a ride, but my debut novel All About Fate is out now 😱🤩

You already got to meet the characters and now it's time you dive into their world. Let me know what you think 🫶

To everyone who was, and still is, along for the journey: thank you. Thank you @novum_verlag for taking me on. This is insane 📚

Every one is celebrating Travel Tuesday by looking for the next trip to book…I’m remembering all the wonderful vacations I got to go on this year.
Stockholm, Bavaria, London, Naples (and Rome), Vienna, Norway, London, London again, Netherlands, Düsseldorf, Paris.

I am a very lucky girl to have so many wonderful travel companions who make each trip a whole different adventure!

Thanks to them I loved each and every one of my trips and can’t wait for next year to explore even more places!

Super Zero & Pandastruck Tour 2025💜

If you were to ask me about concerts, I’d say that live music is amazing.

If you’d ask me on a deeper level, I’d say that live music is one of the best ways to pause all the noise that is going on in the real world. That a room full of strangers who are all here to see the same band can create magic together. That no matter how loud my head has been for weeks, it will finally shut up during the concert. That experiencing the same show with your best friend is as healing as any medication you could get. That the feeling of the band playing your favourite song gets you higher than any drug.

And if you’d ask about this one specifically, I’d say that EC shows just hit differently and so much harder and deeper than anything else. I cannot wait to see the guys again in November because they manage to make every single show feel so very special. #electriccallboy #ec #escalationfest
