✨ THE CAPSULE EDIT by The Forever Curates IS OPEN! ✨

It’s been a very busy few weeks behind the scenes—emails flying, artworks arriving and a great deal of coordinating—but those inevitable pinch points 😅are always worth it when everything finally comes together 💪.

On Saturday night, my husband and I took over a little corner of @flauntcollective @smouk_interiors to install rails, paint walls, dust and sweep—all in preparation for the artworks.

Then, less than 24 hours later, we were back at 8am on a gloriously sunny Sunday morning to hang the art and watch The Capsule Edit take shape. 🎨

The finished collection features joyful original works by @em.gurner @sophiewrightart @sjwart2022 @connorjdoyle.art @mariskameijersstudio @marina_mendezt @leylinesstudio @belindamillar_art with almost every piece priced under £400.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful artists who have trusted me with their work, and to Sarah at @smouk_interiors for giving The Forever Curates this very special opportunity.

And, of course, to my husband , whose support is always a key component of every installation. 🤍

The Capsule Edit is officially open—and I’m delighted that The Forever Curates now sits in such glorious company, alongside brilliant brands including @ebobeautywellness @anniesloanhome , amongst many, many others……

Come and discover the art, alongside all the wonderful fashion, beauty, interiors and independent treasures waiting for you at @flauntcollective @smouk_interiors . 🌈✨

THE CAPSULE EDIT is open for business ! 👏🖼️🛍️

It’s been a big week and an even bigger weekend getting everything prepped and primed but I got there in the end ( with a little help from @zandervideo 💪🙏)

Located at the bottom is Bruton high street - you can find the edit at @flauntcollective @smouk_interiors with a gorgeous edit from artists such as @leylinesstudio @mariskameijersstudio @belindamillar_art @sophiewrightart @em.gurner @marina_mendezt @sjwart2022 @connorjdoyle.art to name a few 🖼️

Focusing of a more accessible price point - the edit is curation of original artworks and ceramics mostly under £400.

THE SUMMER MAY BE DRAWING TO AN END… BUT THE COLOUR AND JOY DON’T HAVE TO. 🌈

There are still some wonderfully colourful, joy-filled original pieces waiting to find their forever homes.

From expressive landscapes and beautifully observed still lifes, to quieter works for smaller corners.

You can also find bold statement pieces that can transform an entire room— each one carefully selected for its individuality and ability to bring something truly special to a space. ✨✨✨

Because the right piece of art doesn’t simply fill a wall. It brings colour, character and joy into your home—and becomes part of its story…..and YOURS ❤️

Swipe through for a little look at what is currently available. Each artwork is tagged and ready to discover online.

Which one would you take home? ❤️

Today we continue on the theme of the sea - something a few of our artists have been drawn to for this show. Connor J Doyle answers it with two small but mighty paintings, which we (and you, as it appears) simply cannot get enough of!

At 33 x 28 cm, these are miniatures, but don't let the size fool you. Connor packs the whole drama of the Cornish coast into two small frames - the headland rising out of the water, the cliffs catching the sun, the sea shifting from turquoise to deep blue as your eye travels across them.

What I love is how they pull you in close. Where a big canvas fills a room, these ask you to lean in - and the closer you get, the more you find. Those confident blocks of colour, the sand and rock and water all jostling together, the way he builds a whole coastline out of bold little planes of oil on linen. And then, when the light catches them, they burst to life with light and shadow playing on their surface.

"Shore & Headland" and its partner "Beneath the Cliffs" are a natural pair, two views of the same wild shore, and I think they'd look wonderful hanging side by side (or one under the other).

We're back open tomorrow - but if you swing by Artsnug today, you'll catch them in our window, basking in that beautiful Walthamstow sun. ☀️

Both are part of the exhibition collection that's now live on our website - if you missed the newsletter, do go and have a look.

Our Summer Show 'Unhurried' is finally open. ☀️✨

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the Opening Night. It was wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces and to spend the evening chatting with you all.

Each piece in the exhibition has been created slowly and intentionally, inviting you to pause, look a little longer, and enjoy the artwork in the same unhurried way.

The collection will be launching online next week, but until then, we'd love to welcome you into the gallery to experience the works in person.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing the stories behind each artwork and introducing you to the artists who created them. 💛

Our Summer Show 'Unhurried' has a new Opening Night date.

Tonsillitis took me hostage for most of the week - so we are moving it to next Friday 10th July, 5 - 8pm. To give the show the evening it deserves.

Same invitation. Same drinks. Emma Reynolds, Sarah Weedon, Cécile Carré, Heather McAlpine and everyone else who made this worth waiting for.

RSVP via the link in bio. Hope to see you next Friday!

BEAUTIFUL ART WITHOUT THE PRICE TAG 🏷️

Owning original art doesn’t always have to come with an eye-watering price tag, or just be for seasoned collectors—it’s for anyone who wants to bring personality, character, and a story into their home.

I’ve handpicked some of my favourite original artworks that prove exceptional art can be both inspiring and accessible.

Whether you’re starting your collection or searching for that perfect piece, there’s something here to fall in love with. 😍

Because great art is for EVERYONE , not just admired from afar. 🎨🤍

AVERAGE DAY ? Not me ! ❌

I often get asked what my average day looks like? 🤔

Instagram would have you believe it’s gallery openings, beautiful spaces, everything feeling quite polished and effortless… and sometimes it is.

But most days it looks more like this. 🎁📦🫠

Packing orders 📦, creating content in between everything 🎥, wrapping artwork, carrying boxes that are always heavier than they look 💪, and somehow getting Belle involved (under duress , normally 😂)

It’s busy, it’s messy, it’s never really the same twice.

And then there are the best parts…

👋🎁hand-delivering a piece of art to its new home 🚗🤍

….and of course e seeing someone experience a new piece in their space for the first time? 🥰

that’s the bit that makes everything else worth it ✨

IS BIG BETTER? 🤔

Short answer: no.

Long answer: also no… but sometimes YES 😄

Because art isn’t about “better” — it’s about what it does in a space, right?

A small piece can also speak volumes and a large piece can completely change the mood of a room the second you walk in ✨

It’s not size that matters — it’s PRESENCE (and also positioning!)

And honestly, I love both…and also have both in my own home.

Some rooms need quiet energy - like a bedroom, for example. 🛏️

Some rooms need a full-on statement moment 💥

A lot of my larger works have already moved on to new homes 🏡 (they don’t stay available for long!)

But I do still have a gorgeous selection of big, bold pieces waiting for the right walls.

So maybe the real question isn’t “is big better?”
It’s… what do you want your space to feel like? 💛
