Damn is right! Ken Davis giving dimensions and incredible detail to his piece. Hand painted and using several techniques to manipulate 24k gold on glass! Thanks @coolhandken for this one, it’s killer!

Phew! I’ve been doing more emailing than lettering these past couple of weeks in preparation for tomorrow’s opening of the show, FORM “The Art of Lettering.” Here’s a little preview of my piece!
~
I also want to share a couple thoughts behind the idea of this show. I’m a graphic designer by trade and have always loved letterforms. Part of my inspiration is to always be discovering new approaches and learn about people’s creative process. I’m constantly inspired by the different mediums in art and design - this show is about bringing those diverse practices in lettering together. I hope that everyone coming to our show will get inspired about new ways to approach your discipline, spark new and unexpected collaborations, and most of all, walk away with looking at the art of lettering in a different perspective.
~
Huge thanks to the team:
* @allthingsmeng, @okayjeffrey, @alittlelodge, and @alphonzo_solorzano for helping me get this show together.
* @fortpointbeer for sending us refreshments for tomorrow
* Our insanely talented group of artists. Couldn’t have done this show without you all!
~
Tomorrow, June 2nd, 6-10pm. See you there! 👋🏻

“The human element of imperfection can be the most challenging to me in the sense of deciding when to walk the line between a human error and leaving the human touch intact. It’s important to leave some sort of imperfection. After all, imperfections are signs of life but too many imperfections are just carelessness.” - @coolhandken ~
Ken Davis’ level of detail and mastery is incredible. We are so pleased to have our friend Ken & his work join us for our show, FORM. Reception is June 2nd and it’s just around the corner! Check out more about Ken on our site and sign up for the fun lineup of workshops we have for the month. - link in bio.☝🏼
