We are promised that this life will bring trials of various kinds. But, we can hope in our Savior who first endured persecution and suffered even to death on the cross. Righteous He died for the unrighteous, me. What you do will not always make people happy, but if it is the Lord’s will it does not matter who you displease. Follow the One who paid all of your sin debt, so that now you may take His righteousness as the most gracious gift to be a steward of.

Dear Jesus, thank you. Thank you for the amazing gift of salvation. Thank you for blessing me with the opportunity to lead and help other people proclaim your glory. Thank you for your grace and help me be a recipient of the mercy you have shown me. Thank you for hand picking me to be at this camp this week. Thank you for being a light unto my path even when I feel I cannot see. Lord, help me to pursue perfection in the form of Jesus. Before all of the religious things, you just want us to show genuine love and covenant faithfulness. When other people see our actions, you look into our heart. Help me to deny my pride, comfort, selfishness, and desire for control to be able to love others the way you love us. Thank you for being the perfect example of love, humility, and compassion. Help me to stop complaining about things you have divinely ordained, and teach me that your plans are always good. Help me to walk knowing that the narrow way is not lonely because you promise to always be with us. Thank you for being the one to see us and understand us. While we cannot do enough, we get an invitation to take what you accomplished on the cross. Thank you for being my treasure and prize. Amen.
