A short film of @cooperrrhill taking down the big 8!

He was one of the first bucks to show up when we started running cameras in August and this property was absolutely his home area this was his bedroom. From the get go still in his early stages of velvet I knew he had potential, and from then on, every new picture and video made the chase feel a little more real. I thought I knew what kind of buck he was, but seeing him up close and finally putting my hands on him was something I’ll never forget.

Self-filming has added a whole new challenge to the experience. There’s a lot to manage when trying to hunt, run the camera, and capture the moment, while also staying calm enough to make a good shot. I’m still learning how to film and tell these stories, and I have a long way to go, but this hunt gave me a lifetime memory and a video I’m proud to share.

Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy reliving this hunt with me.
