Coast

I took the opportunity to attend a two day workshop with @k2makes @coppercatstudio this weekend. We worked with apoxie sculpt to create baubles to enhance mosaics. Kelley had this sample for the workshop called “ Coast” which tugged at my heart. I thought about it before I went to bed with the rocky shores and the waves coming ashore. I dreamt of being on the ocean that night. I awoke to feeling I needed this piece of artwork to hang in my kitchen so when I am at the sink, I could look up and escape for a moment to the sea. So, I had to purchase it. ❤️
That’s what art should do to your soul. Nourish. Repeat. Enjoy. #art #artwork #coast #mosaic

Glass fusion suncatchers

These beauties were from a private workshop this week. I’m wrapping up six workshops this month( whew!) with a deep feeling of gratitude. I love the creativity and energy teaching students. It’s amazing the designs, color palettes and amazing art produced by our students. I’m taking some of my own advice and nurturing my own self care by becoming the student at an upcoming workshop this weekend @coppercatstudio Nurture. Create. Repeat.

Another demo, this one for this weekend's workshop in Reno, Apoxie Sculpt in Mosaic. We'll delve into numerous ways to work with this versatile material and incorporate it into mosaic, such as the water, surf, vegetation and edge treatment pictured here, plus more!

If you've been on the fence about this one, and this post galvanizes you, I believe there is one seat left. Jump on it now at https://www.coppercatstudio.com/events/apoxie-sculpt-in-mosaic, and I'll see you there!

Had a wonderful time at my first @rtiashow. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to meet so many lovely people! Thank you to everybody who supported my art and to my incredibly talented friend Sarah (@whoistheta) for inspiring me to sign up for the show, as well as finally make an account for my art on this godforsaken app. Can't wait to see you all next year!

Sunrise sunset is a glass fusion centerpiece with a pocket vase. What’s cool is you can add dried or fresh flowers to this centerpiece. I’ll be teaching this workshop this weekend ( we are currently SOLD OUT) but check out the website @coppercatstudio for upcoming workshops. Keep creating.
