This sub is always so much fun to wear. It balances the style that made it such a classic but has a very modern movement. 14060M 4 liner was the goal for me. I appreciate the modern but this one has more soul.

Blue Watch Monday and after a few weeks of plonks and iPhone wrist shots I was happy to get back to the camera and shoot some stuff. This one is still pretty popular both for the shots I post but also in any shop carrying IWC. Tough if you’re looking to try this one on. Usually they’ll have a 35mm or a black dial maybe in the 40.

Anyways, love wearing this one and was pretty pleased to get the light pretty spot on. Especially on the 2nd shot with the light bar across the dial.

Hope everyone has a great week! Kiddos head back to the school house and the new routine begins yet again. Here we go!

I have been teasing this for about 3 weeks now! It wasn't deliberate, that is how long it takes to get a dealer trade setup and get me on and off trains! It may not be the birth year watch I was expecting... but it is a proper spanker! So, let's welcome the 1977 Tudor 9401/0 Submariner Snowflake, in blue of course, to the fold! Yes, you will notice it lacks a classy and sophisticated date complication, but sometimes I just want to get down and dirty! That correct textured blue Mk.5.2 insert is just SO blue, so much so I took my own loupe to check it over. I'm not used to seeing them unfaded, no ghosting, no lavender hue, etc. Pretty mint (not the colour)! It's sitting on the solid link Tudor 78500 bracelet, the Tudor service replacement to the 9315, a Tudor branded Rolex 93150, effectively. I might hit the pub tonight, put on a French accent and mutter about my time sticking bombs on things... or I'll just watch Mr. Mercedes on Netflix! Either way... I'm enjoying this one and it only cost me my Rolex 16610 Submariner, some cash... and a new handbag for Mrs. Subs 🤣

I didn’t want to do any #lumeshaming today and post the Pink Lemonade glowing in the dark. I’ll save it for a future post. But I am quite pleased to have this one back in the collection after a brief hiatus to the watch spa courtesy of @watchcheck. I’d purchased this from the original owner but unfortunately the warranty didn’t extend beyond the original purchaser. So I went on a search for someone who could help. @tony_traina turned me on to Watch Check and the experience was great!

I was given a clear estimate. The comms with the team were easy and as often as needed. And the end result is my watch back in working order and no concerns from me. Definitely worth asking their team for help if you have a watch that is in need of a bit of a service.

It’s been hot but it hasn’t stopped trying all of the strap options on the @imperialwatchco_official Rangefinder. Guess it’s in the name because this watch has range! The Corey is definitely my favorite in the bunch and congrats to the designers for the whole lot of watches selling out! What an accomplishment!

Portland never passed 51. A town of 13,000 up the road hit 534.

Ten days of Oregon wildfire smoke from a geostationary satellite, every 20 minutes by day and every 40 through the night, 20 to 29 July 2026.

La Grande, Oregon broke 200 micrograms of PM2.5 on six separate days. Portland peaked at 51, Seattle 71, Sacramento 18, San Francisco 14. Every extreme number in this event belongs to a small inland town.

Watch the plume vanish each night. Smoke is genuinely unobservable after dark, but the embers keep burning and the surface numbers keep climbing, and by dawn it has moved further downwind than where it disappeared.

Best dial in the collection. Hands down. @iwcwatches has completely nailed the comeback that is then #Ingenieur. From sizes, colorways, complications…they’ve all been well received and it’s evidenced in the fact that you see them all over the place from celebrities to the real #watchfam. Impressive releases! I certainly love mine!
