Dare to be different… 🎯

That’s the AMC way, can’t wait to see you all in Las Vegas in just two short weeks with what may be one of Jeeps rarest Trucks ever made reimagined into a piece of American History.

What a blast it has been to get to this point of making a custom replica of a factory original part to make a truly one off 3/4 ton truck

This project @corkscrewd and I did as a team to deliver something truly unique to a period style restoration is going to work so well on the J20 I couldn’t have asked for all this work to pay off any better.

The Miata Reunion was a success!

In addition to showing off the latest Afterburner prototype for the NA Miata, I also designed a custom one-off set using the same construction techniques and materials. Inspired by the taillights of the TVR Chimaera, this prototype not only performed perfectly, but also drew a lot of attention!

@corkscrewd and I in works on the very first FSJ-JLU hood latch conversion pocket for jeep truck and Cherokee models.

As you may have noticed all the modifications are almost finished up so if I’m moving to the front we’re about to move into final stages of exterior work before paint.

These latches have a very similar design language to the style and shape of these J-Trucks and I think with the recessed pocket give the truck a very updated yet correct utilitarian old school CJ look they deserve.

These bucks will allow me to not only make the parts perfect but for anyone else interested in this modification can do this as well.

Refinement of originality…

A decade long story starting to show its origin while incorporating new history. American motors long before they were AMC was known as Nash. Here’s where this story gets interesting, Pininfarina for a short period of time did build bodies for Nash way back when. We’ll being the historian I am I wanted to incorporate a little bit of AMC’s history to the Jeep trucks paint job. Hence the @anest_iwata LS-400 that has Pininfarina heritage backing it.

All the things I do have a deeper meaning than just another part… or another tool. It’s the legacy being carried on and tying everything together is what sets me apart from most.

What do you think of the original colors of the 74 J20?

Don’t mind me while I’m creating the Jeep concept that never was…

All these custom parts that @corkscrewd and I are designing are one off parts that haven’t been done before. What the idea was is to emulate the JLU wrangler and Galfiator hinge design with a custom inset panel to give that great and simple looking hinge a nice pocket to live in. Rather than drilling holes and bolting to the body… we’re building a dye to stamp all new trays for the latches to rest in for better fit and finish.

Do you like the design?

Work has begun on creating the NA Afterburner kit!

Currently checking fitment on the NA with a 3D printed prototype. These lights will functionally work the same as the NB Afterburner Kit.

Working on some new photo work details for more style levels of the J2X.

Does anyone else think halo DRL lights on old cars are here to stay? I’ve personally loved the updated design on the javelin and have no problems installing that setup on the truck. Looks classy to me.

It’s the custom things that make or break a build.

These “Pioneer” badges are such a nice touch paying homage to the factory package my truck was when new

Any guesses where I took inspiration for the new font of the relocation and model design of the Pioneer emblems? This Jeep doesn’t follow the rules… it follows my rules

Design credit collab with @corkscrewd hit him up for model render or custom parts design.

Major hint is the man behind winning the lemans series with the GT-40

I still can’t get over how cool this in bed box will be when it’s done.

It’s the little details that make a build so great. Having a toolbox as old as the truck brought back to life to be made like new is where I have all my fun
