There are many lies to believe in this world. Some are small. Some are larger than life. These songs are my journey back to the truth. Discovering that the biggest lie I have ever believed was the one about myself. Who I am. What I am capable of. Who I will become. My hope is that each song can, at the very least, point someone back into the direction of self awareness and vulnerability. That is where we are the strongest.

Allison and Erin, thank you for listening constantly to the baby ideas that started these songs. Thank you for letting me sit and mumble on the couch because you knew it would be worth it.

Mom and Dad, thank you for letting me take over your office in your house to record this album. Big things happen in tiny rooms after all.

To my Amigo family, I couldn’t ask for a better group of brothers and sister to learn from and grow with. Thank you for making me better. As a musician and as a human being.

When I wrote this song, I don’t think I was ready to hear what it had to say to me. But it was always there waiting. And for some reason beyond me, the minute Courtney pressed record, I heard it. I let it in. And not only was that moment filmed, but it became the version that is on the album.
It was truly a special and powerful thing for me and I’m so happy you guys get to hear it now.
