Merci aan al deze Belgen om steeds uit jullie pijp te komen
En vooral in datgene waarin Belgen goed zijn, ons grootste talent : kort schakelen
Misschien is het net dat waardoor Belgische ontwerpers de internationale catwalks domineren

NEW INTERVIEW INGE CORNIL

What happens when the landscape becomes not only the subject of a painting, but also its material?

In our new interview, Inge Cornil speaks in Antwerp with Olivier Varossieau about tropical light, distant islands and the making of BARK WORKS in Bali where bark cloth, indigo and natural pigments allow the landscape to enter the work itself.

Read the complete interview via the link in bio.

Swipe to discover works from the series, and share the conversation with someone who should know Cornil’s practice.

Selected BARK WORKS are available for private and institutional acquisition.

Private viewings & acquisitions by appointment via dm

Very nice to visit the opening of Art & Bali definitely an art fair worth visiting.

A highlight for us was “What the Body Remembers,” curated by Bandana Tewari, who did an amazing job creating an inspiring dialogue between art, fashion, craft and the body. A beautiful presentation showing how these different creative worlds can overlap and strengthen each other.

And, as always, an art fair is also about the people. Great to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, meet inspiring people and discover some very good artists along the way.

Congratulations to everyone involved and especially Bandana for creating something that really stood out.

Something very special is taking shape…

Isabelle and I had the chance to get a first look at the incredible new works by Inge Cornil.

She is currently developing a completely new series, working with natural materials, pigments, indigo and beautifully tactile, organic processes. The textures, colours, scale and sheer physical presence of these pieces are difficult to capture in a photograph.

These works seriously blow your mind raw, sophisticated, unexpected and absolutely beautiful.

We can’t share too much just yet… but soon, much more. 👀

Natural dye is more than a coloring process. It is a celebration of patience, craftsmanship, and the beauty of imperfection. Every shade reflects the season, the plants, and the hands that brought it to life, making each creation truly one of a kind. 🍂
