We opened our showroom doors for our very own Cosmo Pre-Glow event ahead of the IIDA Mid Atlantic Chapter’s Cosmo Couture 2026! ✨

Our design community stopped in for professional hair and makeup services, cosmopolitans, and a little pre-event sparkle before the evening’s festivities.

We loved being part of your Cosmo Couture experience and helping you get ready for the fabulous evening ahead.

A huge thank you to Coronet LED for partnering with us to make this event possible, and to everyone who stopped by to get glammed up!

We’re thrilled to announce that King & Spalding at 1290 Avenue of the Americas has won Project of the Year (99,000–200,000 SF) at the CoreNet NYC REmmy Awards!

Special thanks to @designrepublicpartners for an incredible partnership. Our lighting strategy was designed to bridge functional and decorative elements, using discreet coves and organic fixtures to reinforce the fluid movement of the space. By carefully balancing light quality and levels, we extended the sense of natural light deep into the interior, supporting both human well-being and thriving greenery.

Repost from @designrepublicpartners:
This project spotlight is the newly completed King & Spalding global hub at the iconic 1290 Avenue of the Americas. Design Republic served as Technical Design and Delivery Architect, working alongside our trusted partner tp bennett to bring it to life. Four floors. 190,000 square feet. Fifteen meeting rooms, four terraces, and two feature staircases connecting the working levels — all designed to serve as a global meeting point for King & Spalding’s lawyers and its roster of marquee clients. The space prioritizes collaboration, flexibility, and wellbeing, answering King & Spalding’s ambition for an inviting, future-ready environment that works as both a workplace and a destination for events. Delivering that inside this location meant solving for the deep-plan floorplates typical of Midtown Manhattan towers. tp bennett’s design cut dramatic openings through the concrete slabs, connecting the levels visually and physically and pulling natural light deep into the interior. The result gives all staff equitable access to daylight, amenity spaces, and informal meeting zones that foster connectivity. We’re proud to be part of this project, stay tuned for more highlights! #DesignRepublic #WorkplaceDesign #InteriorArchitecture #OneGlobalDesign Project Team: Concept Architect and Designer: @tpbennettllp Technical Design and Delivery Architects: Design Republic Client: King & Spalding Project Manager: @cushwake General Contractor: @structuretoneorganization MEP/FP Engineer: CFS

MESH + LIGHT 01 Creating Depth

What happens when the ceiling becomes more than a surface?

For this confidential tech office in Manhattan, a layer of mesh transforms the ceiling into an atmospheric element.

Linear luminaires mounted above the mesh disappear from view, while color-changing uplight reveals the hidden depth above, creating a sense of movement, energy, and curiosity.

Light is no longer only illuminating the space.
It becomes part of the material itself.
