From Bridgeport to your TV screens! 🎥

Who would have thought that a beauty academy built to empower women, support immigrants, and give inner-city youth the skills to become entrepreneurs would one day have the opportunity to share its passion with viewers across Connecticut?

It all started with Marlene Correa, an immigrant woman who dared to believe in her dreams, even when she had very little to build them with. Through determination, sacrifice, and hard work, she created Gorgeous by Glam Beauty Academy, a place where others could find the opportunities she once had to fight for.

And her vision didn’t stop there.

Through the Marlene Correa Foundation, that same dream has grown into a mission of giving back, providing scholarships, essential resources, and support to women and families in our community.

From one immigrant woman’s dream to Connecticut television! What a beautiful reminder of how far determination, purpose, and a commitment to helping others can take you.

A heartfelt thank you to Great Day Connecticut for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to share our passion for beauty and education with viewers across the state.

We are proud of our roots, proud of our students, and proud to represent the community that made this journey possible.
