What a fantastic couple of days spent in London with sewing internet friends who have become in-real-life friends. 🧡 Hanging out, eating, meeting new sewing friends ( 👋🏻 @thecurlycurl), having a 🍻, seeing an exhibit, fabric shopping (of course), and always laughing. Amazing days with @stitchmeayear @saraknitsandsews @corriesfancygoods and @judithrosalind ♥️♥️♥️

This year’s event was hosted by @susanyoungsewing @sewthreadbear @ooobop and @offshesews . and held @swanlondon_ near the Globe Theater. There was a lovely view of St. Paul’s Cathedral from the balcony. Gorgeous night. Thanks for the lovely party, ladies!

I didn’t take many pictures at all because I was too busy saying hello to old friends and fangirling new ones! 😂 So many lovely outfits and fabrics and details to gush over. @stitch_make_bake @morrissews @suestoney @loulou_sewsnz (these are just the ones I have photos of! There are so many more lovely people I chatted with. ♥️ ) I’ve enjoyed seeing everyone’s posts from the event and the day preceding!

And speaking of preceding events, for a second time, @premierinn has hosted a very special reception for the attendees of London Frocktails, many of whom stayed at surrounding Premier Inn properties for the event. Kate (above mentioned StitchMeAYear) arranged this treat through Premier Inn and I am so happy that she did! ♥️ From the welcome glass of bubbly to the lovely hors d’œuvres to the kind and thoughtful staff, Premier Inn was so happy to have us all gather and mingle before our party. Thank you to all of the staff at Premier Inn Bankside (Tate Modern) for a wonderful pre-party!

From my yummy Lunch at The Pig in the South Downs … 25 mile set menu - very nice food , panoramic views and such an interesting house - repeat visit - rinse & repeat.
Oh and another accessory of the day rinse - brooch & tie with my denim dress resurfacing from after its Summer break at the back of my closet.

Arriving very late to the co-ord party and getting in to the tail end of a Long Hot Summer (what a great title for a song that would be !😉😉😆😆), I managed to dodge the showers (well out of practice)& got some pics of my latest makes. I feared my SewJo was lost, but decided to make my fav @tessutifabrics #sammypants in a slightly stiff pink linen from @roysmaterialworld which I hope will soften with more washes (& some white vinegar). I knew I’d have enough left (only need 65cm) for yet another @stylearc #sabonniewoventop . My lovely brooch from @corriesfancygoods is perfect with it. My new trousers also go perfectly with another Bonnie I made last year in a fab windowpane gingham from @pigeonwishes. Might get another couple of wears out of them before I have to admit defeat and accept it’s Autumn soon.

Another duvet transformation- yes this fabric was a duvet cover.

Can’t imagine this print on a bed- to be fair, you probably hadn’t thought of it as clothing either 😆😆😆

I made this little tank back in March from the tiniest linen remnant I picked up at @merchantandmills, and it's perfect for this beautiful weather. ☀️ @corriesfancygoods very kindly sent me this cute button brooch along with the earrings I ordered this week, and it couldn't be a better match! 💚 The pattern is the Sourdough Top by @sewbakemake, and I had lots of fun playing with stripes, using scraps for the facings, and adding some @kylieandthemachine labels. 🧵 I think the Ashton is still my go-to tank top, but I love to try other patterns - do you have a favourite I should sew next?

Wearing Christmas Blouse in June ,hiding my hairbrushes for pictures , balancing 🐶 - and finding mannequins dressed in bed quilts in a shop today.
I know some people put away their Winter clothes for Summer and reverse but I don’t think I could , especially as the weather is so unpredictable.

Happy Saturday and Happy Day 16 of #memademay2026 Lucky to have a gorgeous day here so we’ve enjoyed lunch on the front porch. Got to see and chat with so many neighbors on foot and on bikes from up here. What do they say about a porch? You get Prospect and Protection. Heartily agree!

Adorning my pretty dress (if I do say so myself 😉) is a beautiful pink brooch from @corriesfancygoods 🩷🩷🩷 I love the way it looks with the different shades on blue in the dress. Corrie is the best!
