Jetty, Sisstr and Rip Curl leaders sat down at the 2026 SIMA Super Summit to talk about where the surf industry stands right now.
Jetty Co-Founder Cory Higgins called the industry “flourishing.” Sisstr VP of Sales and Marketing Carrie Piccolini said it’s “optimistic, but also really chaotic.” Rip Curl North America GM Nick Russell went with “evolving.”From there, the conversation covered what’s actually changed about today’s surf customer, how brands and retailers can build partnerships that hold up, and what it will take to bring the next generation into the industry.

What we did on our summer vacation!

We wanted to look back at some of the dope times we’ve had in the past four months from the heavy to the playful, from far off shores to our own backyard and events. We even captured some of it before that seagull decided @b_aji can’t film here.

As fall whips up our ocean, we want to thank Summer ‘26 for the good times.

Kicking off Surf Expo the right way. Last night’s Board Retailers Association (BRA) No Agenda Dinner brought the industry together for a wine reception and dinner ahead of today’s show.
Great to see retailers including B.C. Surf & Sport, Island Water Spots, Sun Diego, Coastal Edge, HIC, T&C, Hi-Tech Surf Sports, and many more, all catching up before the whirlwind of Surf Expo begins.
The brands that sponsored the dinner and attended the event include: Fun Day Surf, Seager, Brixton, Jetty, Rusty, Free Fly Apparel, Trackfly, Charming Shark, Nature Industries and more.

Had an epic trip to Mexico last month to celebrate @snorkel_boy turning 50! Sharing waves and laughs with some of your best buds is irreplaceable. Making memories like this is what life is all about. It’s all about people and relationships. @benoitbrecq @ben_d_leroy & the entire @hoff_distribution crew were so rad, giving us the royal treatment from tours, to surf and golf, to great meals, drinks, and plenty of laughs. Language barriers are broken pretty quickly when you love the same things in life!

We were welcomed with open arms by a culture that is filled with surf and stoke! The waves, beaches, golf, food, history, and most importantly, the people of France were awesome. @thejettylife officially launched in the EU with our Spring 2027 collection after we presented everything that fuels The Jetty Life, from the history and the nonprofit, to the printing and the products, to the Draw Your Own Line ethos.
