been a little quiet on here lately… life has just been BUSY 🤎

this summer has been full of long days behind the chair, education courses, growing my craft, celebrating, being a dog mom & making the most of life outside the salon.

feeling very grateful for this little season of life — here’s a peek at what i’ve been up to lately 🫶🏼

POV: you found a salon where the drinks are good, the vibes are better, and everyone actually loves coming to work 🤎✨ @raquelthehairslayer

Happy coworkers, peaceful days, good conversations, and a little ✨magic✨ in between appointments.

This is your sign to find a salon that feels like this. 🥂🪩💇‍♀️

We’re growing our Mane Collective + Co family. 🤎 We currently have one part-time + one full-time opportunity for independent stylists looking for a beautiful, supportive salon with a strong culture, an amazing team, and plenty of new client opportunities. Schedule a meet and chat at www.manecollectiveco.com 🌻

There’s something really special about taking care of the place that takes care of so many people. 🤍

Last weekend Ryan and I spent our day off doing all the little things that most people will never notice… but we always will.

We cleaned every overhead vent and the inside of every light fixture, wiped down the walls, installed a new subway tile backsplash behind the utility sink, finally finished a corner in our shampoo area that has bothered me since the day we opened, serviced our security cameras, upgraded our iPad to make things run a little smoother, and bought some pots for our amazing plants.

None of these projects are glamorous. None of them make for a dramatic before-and-after. But they’re the kind of things that keep a space feeling cared for. And we know the salon team appreciates the little things 💖

When we opened Mane Collective + Co, I dreamed of creating a salon that always felt light, bright, peaceful, and welcoming. I never want that feeling to fade. I want our team to walk in every morning feeling proud of where they work, and I want every guest to feel that same sense of calm the moment they step through the door.

Taking care of a salon isn’t just about beautiful hair. It’s about creating an environment where creativity can thrive, where conversations feel easy, and where everyone feels at home.

I’m so grateful to build this dream alongside Ryan. Some weekends are spent traveling. Some are spent behind a ladder, with a paintbrush, a vacuum, or a screwdriver. And honestly… I wouldn’t trade either.

Here’s to protecting the little details, because they’re what make a place feel loved. 🌿✨

There’s something about walking into a salon and immediately feeling like you can slow down.

After we sit down for your consultation and create a plan for your hair, we’ll usually ask one simple question:

“Can I make you something to drink?” ☀️

Every season we create a new drink menu inspired by the time of year, but there’s one favorite that never leaves the menu—our signature Lavender Lemonade. Fresh, light, and just a little bit unexpected. If you’re visiting us in the evening (or any time of the day really 😉, you can even turn it into a Vanilla Lavender Lemonade with a splash of vanilla vodka for an extra little treat while your color processes. 💜🍋

It’s one of those small details that reminds us hair appointments are about so much more than hair.

They’re about taking a breath.

Catching up.

Reading a book.

Working remotely with our complimentary Wi-Fi.

Relaxing in our peaceful courtyard.

Enjoying a hot towel, calming aromas, filtered water at our shampoo bowls, and a space designed to help you feel cared for from the moment you arrive until you leave.

At Mane Collective + Co, we believe a salon visit should feel like the best part of your week—not another appointment to check off your list.

If you’ve been searching for a hair salon in Reno, a blonde specialist, balayage, AirTouch highlights, gray blending, hair extensions, or simply a salon where you’ll feel genuinely welcomed, we’d love to meet you.

Life has been feeling a little more colorful lately… maybe it’s the longer summer days, maybe it’s all the beautiful hair walking out of Raquel’s chair. ☀️✨ @raquelthehairslayer

If you’ve been meaning to book with Raquel, now is the time! Her maternity leave begins October 1st, and appointments are filling quickly. She’d love to see you before taking a little time away for this exciting new chapter. 🤍

She only has a handful of color appointments left 👀Use the link in our bio or DM her to reserve your appointment before her books close. We can’t wait to see you at Mane Collective 🤍✨

Often in the morning, before the first guest arrives, I find myself standing here for just a minute.

The sun finds its way through the trees. The birds start their morning songs. Everything feels still.

It reminds me why I built this place.

Not because I wanted to own a salon.
Because I wanted to create a feeling.

A place where creativity isn’t rushed. Where conversations matter. Where education is celebrated. Where people genuinely root for one another. Where coming to work feels a little lighter than it did yesterday.

It’s easy to get caught up in appointments, schedules, and everything on the to-do list. But these quiet moments always bring me back to what matters most.

I’m so grateful this little courtyard exists. It has become a reminder that sometimes the most beautiful part of the day is simply slowing down long enough to notice it. ☀️🌿

Maybe this isn’t the post you were expecting.

I’m not just looking to fill a chair. I’m looking for the right person.

The kind of stylist who’s been behind the chair long enough to know that this career is about so much more than hair. You value connection. You still get excited to learn. You believe collaboration is more powerful than competition, and you want to be part of a team that genuinely celebrates each other’s wins.

At Mane Collective + Co., we laugh together, learn together, support one another, and work hard to create an experience our guests can’t wait to come back to. We invest in education, marketing, leadership, and building businesses that thrive—not just survive.

This isn’t the place for someone who wants to rent a chair and keep to themselves, and that’s okay. Every salon has a different culture.

But if you’ve been feeling like something is missing… if you’ve been craving community, inspiration, and a place where your business is supported while still remaining your own, I’d love to meet you.

We currently have one full-time and one part-time opportunity available for the right stylist.

If this feels like the next chapter you’ve been looking for, let’s start the conversation.
