These are the wide leg @marksandspencer jeans.
I bought a size 8 Short (I’m 5ft & a size 8)

This is just one way to style them……

With the legs being wide I wanted to balance the look so chose the @cosinests scarf to visually draw the eye up, add a print & another texture.

Add a simple knit, a jacket & for me trainers but you can swap to boots, you can swap the jacket to a blazer…. Play with the outfit to suit you.

I will say these jeans are so comfortable

I’m always banging on about this …… before you expect your followers to do ANYTHING, you need to build a community. Build your audience, build relationships and, most importantly, build trust.

And this is exactly why I love Instagram. Sarah from @quirkycrochetbysarah and Jo from @cosinests have been part of my community for a couple of years ……. thanks to the Reels Rockstars, and just 2 days apart, I finally got to meet them both in real life this summer.

Completely unexpectedly, they both gifted me something from their small businesses to thank me for all the help and advice I’ve shared along the way. This incredible hand crocheted cardigan from Sarah and this gorgeous scarf from Jo. 🥹

I try to be generous with my time so receiving gifts like this to say thank you was the total icing on the cake. Thank you so much to both of you.

Instagram has always been so much more than just a tool to promote my business. It’s sharing what I know, supporting each other, checking in when things are a bit shitty and celebrating together when everything is going brilliantly.

Yesterday was our annual Reels Rockstars meetup… and what a day it was.

A room full of small business owners brought together by a shared passion for Instagram Reels, supporting one another, sharing ideas, celebrating each other’s wins and making our online friendships even stronger by meeting in real life.

A huge thank you to Claire for hosting us all at
@berryfarmcotswolds in the most beautiful setting. It’s such a special venue, and the incredible lunch she created was the icing on the cake.

Being surrounded by so many talented, kind and supportive people fills my creative cup every single time.

As expected, I spent a good chunk of the day behind the camera, so it’s no surprise I came home with over an hour of footage that I’ve somehow managed to squeeze into a 90-second reel! (Even that feels a bit on the long side… but I just couldn’t bear to cut it down any more. 😂)

But I also made sure to put my phone down and spend time catching up with some truly wonderful people.

When I got up to speak yesterday, I said that being the Community Manager for Reels Rockstars is genuinely the best job I’ve ever had and I meant it.

After listening to everyone share what the community has meant to them, hearing about the friendships they’ve made, the confidence they’ve gained, and the impact it’s had on both their businesses and their lives, it was hard not to feel emotional… as you may have noticed. 🤦🏼‍♀️

It’s still a real pinch-me moment that Kirsty and Andie chose me for this role.

Watching this community grow, seeing friendships form, collaborations happen and people genuinely champion one another is something really special to be part of, and I feel incredibly lucky to play a very small part in that.

Here’s to another year of encouraging one another, cheering each other on and creating content that we all love.

Reels Rockstars really do rock. ❤️

I really don't like or do networking I get very nervous and imposter syndrome kicks in - but this was no ordinary event.

It was an opportunity to meet up with fellow @reels.rockstars and just get to know the faces behind the reels.

The venue @berryfarmcotswolds was just gorgeous and I loved hearing the history of the farm and how it's changed in order to stay as a family business.

I met lots of lovely people whose reels I have been seeing since joining the membership.

15 months ago I made one snap decision that completely changed my business.

I almost didn’t do it.

If you know me, you’ll know I’m not someone who signs up for lots of courses or joins communities. I usually convince myself I can work it out on my own or that it’s probably not for me.

But 15 months ago I joined @reels.rockstars on a whim.

I thought I was simply going to learn how to make better reels.

Instead, I learnt how to edit videos, understand Instagram properly and create content that actually connected with people.

My community has grown from around 4,000 to more than 17,000.

I’ve met some incredible people too.

I’ve found a large part of the team I now work with through @ReelsRockstars.

I’ve had opportunities that simply wouldn’t have happened if I’d stayed where I was.

Today I headed to a Reels Rockstars meet-up, and it’s made me stop and think about how much can change because of one small decision.

We often think life changes because of one huge leap.

In reality, it usually changes because we say yes to one thing that feels a bit uncomfortable, a bit uncertain and a bit unlike us.

You never know which decision will change your direction.

I’m very glad I made this one.

Today reminded me that investing in yourself isn’t always about learning something new.

Sometimes it’s about surrounding yourself with people who inspire you, challenge your thinking, and remind you why you started.

I came home with fresh ideas, renewed energy and plenty of content inspiration.
