Update - Kane didn’t receive any help and was humanely euthanized. I am so sorry sweet boy 🌈🕊️
Kane #A2094150 needs a Houston local adopter/foster by 9/25 no later than 1 pm to save his life!

Kane #A2094150
Neutered - 2 YR - HW Negative - 56 lbs - German Shep mix

Hi, I’m Kane, I’m feeling a little under the weather and I could use some TLC and maybe an extra meal too BUT the best part is I’m super sweet and can’t wait to cuddle you!! The ladies at BARC said I walk very well on leash, and did GREAT on my temp test (whatever that means). I had fun playing and hopping around with the little friend next to me. I got to wear a bandana and show off my skills, big on sit & the best part, I got TREATS & lots of head scratches. They felt so nice!

Will you please get me out of here, I’ll be very quiet and well tempered, I even keep my kennel clean! I’d love a place to decompress and start to feel safe and loved again. Take a chance on me, I promise it’s worth it!

Thanks a bunch,

Kane

Feeling emotional, might delete later.

You may remember Farid was rescued a couple of weeks ago. The lists feel like they have been longer with so many dogs to help.

In talking with a foster who had some openings in March, we looked at the list trying to decide who was the right fit for her home and our rescue. Pouring over posts and videos, knowing there was a chance someone we did not choose would not make it out 😭

We kept coming back to Farid. Who was going to pull an 80 pound, heartworm positive pitbull? We both like the big guys- so tag sent.

Our friends @poochstx have been giving him a place to hang out since leaving the shelter. He has really come to life. @cottagefostershtx had space for the next week until he can head to his longer term foster and where he can recover from his neuter. She has been giving us all the deets today since picking him up. He knows sit, is housebroken, is doing great in his crate and wants to hold hands 🥹

Feeling emotional because too many dogs don’t have this opportunity. We want to do more, but there are not enough foster homes or resources. We know we can’t save them all and honestly we don’t want to. But we do want to do more. I want to do more.

If you are able to foster, please reach out. There are many rescues to help as we all offer something different. Find the right fit and help save a dog.

This one is SO special @cottagefostershtx with beautiful AJ wearing our Fitted Pittie Tee in black & white print 🐾🤍

AJ was recused by @pipsrescuepack, received a $1,000 donation from Cloud Haven, and ultimately was able to be rescued because foster @cottagefostershtx stepped up for him 😭🙌❤️

It truly takes a village when dogs are pulled to safety. A rescue organization has to step up for them sometimes in 24 hours or less, funding is needed to rescue responsibly and provide them the medical care they need, and a foster needs to commit giving the dog a place to stay & decompress until they’re ready for adoption.

Cloud Haven not only helps provide funding towards shelter dogs, but also works with volunteers, networks, and rescues on the frontline.

Thank you @woofgangv for showing up for these babies and getting them seen, thank you @pipsrescuepack for not giving up on him and fighting for him from the start, & thank you @cottagefostershtx for fostering him and so many babies like him- ultimately being the reason he could be pulled to safety. Love you all so much- here’s to AJ our holiday miracle 🙌🎄❤️🫶

Meet Shadow!!

Have you ever wanted a complete cuddle bug and lap dog while also having a running buddy? This is your guy. Did he sit on my lap? Yes. Did he cuddle up? Yes. Did he get the zoomies in the studio? Also, yes. I have a soft spot for black dogs. I know you do, too.

Shadow is available for adoption from GSD Buddy Rescue.
