A €10 lunch deal in Amsterdam that you need to know about

A plant-based deli on Czaar Peterstraat, and their lunch deal is honestly such a good find. For just €10, you can choose between a sandwich or quiche, plus soup and cake.

The space is bright, spacious and really lovely to sit in, with both indoor and outdoor seating. I also love that you can see the kitchen where the food is being prepared, which makes the whole place feel very open and welcoming.

The menu changes regularly, so there’s always something different to try. And if you’re around later in the week, Counter also does family dinners on Thursday and Friday evenings.

Definitely one to save if you’re looking for an affordable lunch spot in Amsterdam.

With the start of the new academic year, we’ve updated our sustainability brochure! It has a fresh design, new food gems, tips, volunteering opportunities, and places to find community around shared values.

You’ll also find tips for practising digital sustainability at UvA and local insights for living more sustainably in Amsterdam, which is especially helpful if you’re new here.

Disclaimer: While individual choices matter, sustainability is not only about personal consumption. Real change also means holding corporations, governments, and international organisations accountable, and pushing for systemic change.

Use this guide as an introduction to the many organisations driving the sustainability movement in Amsterdam and beyond.

Find the link to download the entire digital brochure in our bio or stop by our office (REC ABC Building, C0.05bb) to grab a physical copy! :)
