💙 And just like that… we’ve come away. 💛

Where do we even begin?

After months of rehearsals, countless hours of hard work, laughter, tears and a week we will never forget, the curtain has fallen on our production of Come From Away.

And what an extraordinary journey it has been.

To have had the privilege of telling this remarkable true story has meant more than we can put into words. A story born out of one of the darkest days in history, yet filled with extraordinary humanity, compassion, friendship and hope.

We could not be prouder of what we have achieved together.

This photograph represents so much more than a theatre production. It represents an incredible group of people who have poured their hearts into creating something truly special.

To our phenomenal cast, extraordinary band, The Courtyard’s technical team, our wonderful X-entricity backstage and technical teams, and our dedicated production team, thank you. Every single one of you has played a part in making this production what it was, and we are so incredibly grateful.

And to our audiences… WOW! ❤️

The standing ovations, the messages, the tears, the laughter and the overwhelming love you have shown us have been extraordinary. Thank you for embracing this story and supporting our company with such enormous hearts.

As a community theatre company, to bring a production of this scale and significance to the stage, surrounded by such talented and generous people, is something we will never take for granted.

We set out to honour the remarkable people of Gander and the thousands of strangers whose lives became forever connected. We hope, in our own small way, we’ve done their story justice.

The show may be over, but its message will stay with us for a very long time.

Be kind. Look after one another. And never underestimate the difference a single act of kindness can make.

What a privilege. What a company. What a journey. 💙

You are here. At the start of a moment.

With all our love,
The X-entricity Theatre family 💛

💡 A HUGE thank you to Neg Earth Lights! 💙

Just look at some of this incredible lighting, designed by the brilliant Keiron Thomas, bringing our production of Come From Away to life!

At X-entricity Theatre, we have always believed that community theatre should never mean compromising on quality. We want our wonderful cast to have the opportunity to perform in the most professional environment possible, and our audiences to experience productions that look, sound and feel every bit as special as the stories we’re telling.

And it’s thanks to the generosity and support of people like Neg Earth Lights that we’re able to make that happen.

Based in London, Neg Earth are one of the leading names in the entertainment lighting industry, supplying equipment for major international tours, concerts and arena productions across the world.

So, for a company of that calibre to support our little theatre company here in Hereford really does mean the world to us.

Their kindness helps us achieve things that would otherwise be well beyond the reach of a volunteer-led, not-for-profit theatre company. And the results speak for themselves!

A special thank you to Keiron Thomas, whose fantastic lighting design has added so much atmosphere, emotion and magic to this production.

We’re incredibly proud of the standard of theatre we’re able to create, but we never forget the people and businesses who help make it possible.

From all of us at X-entricity, thank you, Neg Earth Lights. Your generosity makes a bigger difference than you could possibly know. 💙

💙 KINDNESS DOESN’T END WHEN THE CURTAIN FALLS.

“Do three good deeds and watch the ripple effect of kindness.”

At the heart of Come From Away is a remarkable true story of ordinary people showing extraordinary kindness.

Inspired by the Pay It Forward 9/11 movement, which encourages acts of kindness in memory of those who lost their lives and the heroes who helped on 9/11, our wonderful cast have been taking that message beyond the stage and into our community. 💙

🐾 Hay Animal Rescue Team
Emily and Sam spent time helping Mandy, a volunteer fosterer currently caring for an incredible 19 cats! From cleaning pens and changing litter to hand-feeding and weighing kittens, they got stuck in to support this wonderful charity.

🥫 Hereford Foodbank
Anna donated several bags of food to help provide emergency food parcels for local people and families who need a little extra support.

🧸 The Teddy Trust
Our cast, along with their children, donated cuddly toys to bring a little comfort and happiness to children around the world affected by war, poverty and abuse.

🌳 Keeping Herefordshire Beautiful
Luke and his trusty sidekick Bingly have been out litter picking, helping to keep our county clean and protect local wildlife.

🏃‍♀️ Gloucestershire Breastfeeding Supporters’ Network
Emily A took on a quarter marathon to raise money for a charity close to her heart, providing invaluable free support to new mums and families.

We’re incredibly proud of our cast, not just for the story they’ve been telling on stage this week, but for choosing to live its message offstage too.

Because kindness doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference.

The show may be coming to an end, but the kindness doesn’t have to. 💙

So, here’s our challenge to you…

Do three good deeds. Inspire someone else to do the same. And watch the ripple effect of kindness.

We’re delighted that our Artistic Director Tamsin Fitzgerald is movement director on ‘A Roaring Boy’, a new play by @lostcausetheatre .

It tells the story of Robert Gough, an actor who made his name playing women’s roles on the Shakespearean stage, until his deepening voice changed the course of his career. It’s a fascinating story and we’re thrilled to be part of it.

You can see it this year live at…

📍@courtyard_arts Hereford on November 4th at 19:45.
📍@stacworcester Worcester on November 5th at 19:45.
📍Folly Arts Theatre, @herefordarts on November 6th at 19:45.

Congratulations to everyone at Lost Cause on their debut production!

🩰✨ THE ART OF TRANSFERRING WEIGHT…

Something we do every single day without even thinking about it — walking!

But in ballet, learning to transfer our weight with intention, control and grace is a skill in itself. 🩰

Learning to use every part of the foot — toes, ball and heels — helps develop balance, strength and beautiful, fluid movement.

Our gorgeous @royalacademyofdance Silver Swans have been working so hard on this. First at the barre, then in the centre, before taking one simple movement and transforming it into a beautiful dance. 🦢💕

Adding patterns, direction and port de bras (carriage of the arms) makes it as much a workout for the mind as the body!

So much to remember, so much to coordinate… yet they make it look so wonderfully effortless and graceful.

And we couldn’t be prouder! ❤️

Because ballet isn’t just about learning steps. It’s about challenging ourselves, discovering what our bodies can do and finding beauty in the simplest of movements.

🦢 FANCY JOINING OUR SILVER SWANS?

Awwdience feedback for Funland. Overwhelmed and overjoyed. There was loads of feedback, here’s some of my favourite bits of it. Also that is an official 5-Star review and I don’t care if anyone doesn’t think it is. That’s going on the poster.

Thanks once again to Arts Alive and The Courtyard in Hereford. This was all made possible thanks to their hosting of Off Grid and its honestly launched a project with a future, that I think otherwise would never exist.

Also sharing incredible pics from @joe.nobilephotography 📸
