Ok, so realistically it’s about 80% cleaning. But aside from that, the head brewer at a small craft brewery & cidery has a quite varied list of duties and tasks to keep the beverages flowing.

From plumbing maintenance, to quality control checks, to sourcing curious local ingredients like oysters, coffee beans, spruce tips and blueberries.
Thanks to our head brewer, @clintinmaine - He really is a good sport about it!

Swipe left to see the different hoses we carry 👈🙈

We carry four different types of Contitech hoses: brewers, distillers, vintners, and vintners EPDM. All hoses are available with or without tri-clamp ends.

BREWERS: lighter and more flexible than the previous model, while still maintaining its durability. This hose is designed primarily for liquid transfer and is ideal for non-oily product transfer due to the smooth white chlorobutyl rubber tube that prevents material and bacteria buildup.

DISTILLERS: can transport high-proof alcohol, chemicals, and high viscous substances, as well as powdery materials. The interior lining of this transfer hose, UHMWPE, makes it ideal for distilleries and herbal extractions because it is chemical and abrasion resistant, as well as being easy to clean. UHMWPE is also static dissipating, making it suitable for use in explosive environments.

VINTNERS: industry's first crushproof hose. These food grade hoses have a special polyester monofilament helix that will not corrode or rust. This hose will not impart any taste to your product, and will not transfer odour. It can handle NON-OILY edible products and fluids via gravity flow, pressure, or suction (27"/hg).

VINTNERS EPDM: crushproof hose that shares many of the same characteristics as the Chlorobutyl Vintner Hose. The key difference between the two hoses is that the Vintner EPDM Hose is designed to withstand a greater number of chemicals and substances (including ozone). This allows an increased range of cleaning options as well as improved coupling retention when exposed to high temperatures.
