‘Imaginal cells’ carry the blueprint of the butterfly inside the caterpillar. They are there before anyone can see the change, gathering quietly, until the body recognizes: this is who we’re becoming now.

A year and a half ago, we started a foundation by that name. A movement for the inner life of young adults. On a mission to make inner development, consciousness and imagination as common as swimming lessons.

It’s time to introduce you to some of the faces of our community.

We started in Amsterdam. Last month, in Rotterdam (SPARK Clubnight coming soon 👀). And ambassadors are waiting to start in Den Haag, Utrecht and Eindhoven.

We’ve been building this slowly, on purpose. But we’re growing faster than we can hold right now. Instead of slowing down, we’d rather step forward and invite you in.

We’re part of the VOORbeeldverkiezing 2026. If we land in the top 15, we have a chance to receive a grant to roll-out in three more cities this year.

A little getaway to Paternoster, one of the oldest fishing villages on the West Coast of South Africa. Two hours drive from Cape Town.

🔸Lunch @Wolfgat where chef & forager Kobus van der Merwe creates small & thoughtful plates that celebrate what the ocean and fynbos has to offer this season. A culinary experience with a view.

🔸We stayed in one of the cute whitewashed cottages by the sea called Flamink (airbnb)
🔸Dinner @voorstrandt

🔸Surrounded by little Craft & Art shops.

A few of us went on a little stroll, which was really a mini hike through some vineyards we did wine tasting with chocolates then we had wine tasting with lunch.
We went through lovely gardens and the views were good except they were a lot of fires and here we caught the helicopters with water bombing them out …
We had a tuk tuk ride back down it was a very easy stroll.
Need to bring on a bigger hike next .

🙏🏼To the most wonderful end of ‘23 and beginning of ‘24 full of sparkles: wonderful connections with family but also new souls from all over the world at this magical planet @planetxancara (you MUST check it out when in CT)

🙏🏼To stepping into our own new apartment @dolphin_beach_resort_ for the first time and searching for treasures at markets to spice up the interior and make it a authentic second home. To many more years in the old Benz we bought 20 years ago. And most of all to LOVE. and 🙏🏼 LETTING GO as we were separated during our time together as a family so that we felt time is flying and we all need our own adventures as well as being together as often and as much as possible.

Skeleton Gorge hike is widely known as one of Table Mountain’s most beautiful hiking trails. Starting from Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden. The route is steep, you have to work hard to get to the top. Climbing over boulders, running streams, indigenous shaded forest, fresh smells and a lot of green. A well deserved swim in the Hely-Hutchinson dam on the top.
We took the scenic Nursery Ravine trial back down.
What a day! ❤️

From 2014-2022 @glocalities did a huge survey in 20 countries, connecting with 300.000 youngsters between 18-26 years old named Generation Z. The research reveals that a cultural revolution is on the way among Gen-Z across the world. In these times of polycrisis the new generation is being held back in it’s development and increasingly feels alienated and pessimistic about the future. These developments are visible in a global (mental) health crisis. This Gen-Z is increasingly searching for meaning, purpose, quality of life and spirituality. And at the same time they are the most energetic, alive and idealistic generation. Therefor we will start a new global youth movement; Imaginal Cells.
