Spring is one of the best times to learn how to grow your own food! 🌷

Farm to Pantry (RS 4990/4990L) gives students the chance to combine in-person discussion with hands-on learning at the John T. Lyle Center for Sustainability and Regenerative Studies at Cal Poly Pomona. ☀️💧🌱

Along the way, learn skills you can use beyond the classroom, including small-scale growing techniques you can use in your own backyard or garden. Students will get the chance to connect with the campus community and support the Poly Pantry. 💚💙

Open to all students! No experience necessary. Just come ready to learn, grow and Become by Doing.

Students With an Interest in the Future of Technology (SWIFT) present Hacking with RFID at the 2026 Cal Poly Pomona Cybersecurity Fair on Tuesday, October 13.

Remote Frequency Identification (RFID) locks are used extensively in hotels and offices and despite how common they are, some have severe security vulnerabilities that could be exploited.

Forensics and Security Technology and the Student Security Operations Center presents Intruders In Your Smart Home at the 2026 Cal Poly Pomona Cybersecurity Fair on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

The modern smart home is chock-full of devices- light bulbs, doorbells, cameras, TVs, fridges, and even toasters- all controllable from an app on your phone, making it easy and simple to complete tasks around the home. This convenience comes at a cost, however: many smart home manufacturers don’t implement secure cybersecurity practices to protect their devices from bad actors accessing them, taking control, and even gaining access within your home.

FAST and SOC will demonstrate common vulnerabilities and exploits found within these devices, the insecure nature of network or application-level protocols and implementations, and how to secure them to protect your own home and home network. Intruders In Your Smart Home

Want to learn how to grow your own food, spend time outdoors and connect with your campus community? Farm to Pantry RS 4990 combines in-person lecture and discussion with hands-on learning at the Lyle Center for Sustainability and Regenerative Studies!

Spring is the best season to learn how to grow your own food! Students will get practical experience planting, caring for and harvesting fruits, vegetables and herbs. What you grow in class will also help support the Poly Pantry. 💚

Along the way, students will explore topics like food justice, food sovereignty and the role food can play in building stronger communities.

Open to all students
No experience necessary!

Connect. Learn. Support. Belong. 🌱
Join CAPS and our campus partners for Suicide Prevention & Awareness Week, October 26–29. Throughout the week, we’ll be creating opportunities across campus to connect, learn new coping and wellness skills, access resources, and strengthen a community where conversations about mental health and suicide can happen with greater compassion and less stigma.
From mental health pop-ups and self-care activities to Bubble Breathing with CAPS, suicide prevention education, and community resources, there are plenty of ways to participate. 💚
🎒 We’ll close out the week on Thursday, October 29 with Active Minds’ Send Silence Packing, a powerful interactive display centered on real stories, suicide prevention, awareness, and hope, alongside our CPP Mental Health Resource Fair.
