A little over a week ago, a group of us gathered in Tompkins Square Park to create a little ripple of joy in the form of a flashmob. Looking back, I realize the flashmob wasn’t the most meaningful part. It was everything around it.

It was people saying yes to an invitation before they knew exactly what they were saying yes to.
It was rehearsals that gave us an excuse to spend time together—creating, sharing meals, and catching up.
It was sharing snacks in the park after the music ended. Introducing people who’d never met. Laughing. Being together.

Somewhere along the way, I realized this project had quietly become about something else. It became unexpected paths crossing — a reminder that community isn’t something we stumble upon. It’s something we create one invitation, one conversation, one small act of courage at a time.

The flashmob was never really the destination.
It was the invitation.
Community was the destination.

Thank you to every person who showed up, danced, cheered, filmed, shot bubbles with enthusiasm, shared a snack, or simply said yes. You co-created something I’ll carry in my heart for a long time.

Here’s to creating and sharing many more moments of joy. 🌈♥️☀️

Perks of participating in the Fall into Fitness Challenge:
✅ Instructor Led Teams - You will be paired with one of our amazing trainers who will guide you through weekly challenges, wellness tracking, and be your anchor of support throughout the 6-weeks.
