POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A special evening with our friends at @craggyrange on Friday night, bringing together 115 women for a conversation about building businesses with purpose - while also raising money for a meaningful cause.

The Lodge was the most beautiful setting for a night of new connections, wonderful wine and food from @chefcaseymac. Thank you to our host Mary-Jeanne Peabody @crmaryjeanne, and Craggy Range winemaker Jordyn Harper and Heretaunga Women's Centre chair Fiona Fraser for such an engaging discussion.

A big thank you to everyone who generously bid in the silent auction and donated prizes. Together, we raised $10,000 for @heretaungawomencentre and the important work they do in the Hawke’s Bay community 🤍

Staying among the vines is one of my favourite ways to experience New Zealand’s wine regions.

You wake up with the vineyard right outside and taste the wines where they are made. These are four I love, each in a very different part of the country.

Paroa Bay | Bay of Islands
A boutique working vineyard on a coastal estate just outside Russell. Choose your stay, from the Off-Grid Cabins tucked into the native bush, to the Vineyard Cottage among the vines with a pool of its own, or Tarāpunga, the villa with its pool looking out over the bay. Spend a day on a private boat through the islands, then keep an evening for Sage, where each dish is matched with Paroa Bay’s own wines.

Craggy Range | Hawke’s Bay
Stay in one of the Vineyard Cottages, set among the vines with a private terrace looking straight out over them. Walk Te Mata Peak in the morning and visit a few of Hawke’s Bay’s cellar doors in the afternoon, then come back to the wood burner before dinner at the winery’s restaurant.

The Marlborough | Marlborough
Once a Victorian convent, this small luxury hotel now sits within a working vineyard and sixteen acres of gardens. Spend a day tasting at the region’s vineyards, walk part of the Queen Charlotte Track or head out on the Marlborough Sounds, then finish with dinner at Harvest, the hotel’s own restaurant.

Stoneridge Estate | Queenstown
A boutique vineyard on the shore of Lake Hayes, with gardens and vines looking out over the lake to the mountains. Taste at the cellar door and spend an afternoon in Arrowtown, with Queenstown only fifteen minutes away.

Whichever region you choose, a few nights among the vines adds something special to your time in New Zealand.

Save this for your New Zealand planning.

Over $9,000 raised for the @wallace_foundation_rescue_heli! A great night supporting an incredible cause. Proud to have captured the @hnhs.services auction, with over $8,300 raised through an auction of local art and boutique products for the Wallace Foundation Rescue Helicopter. Awesome to see the community come together to support such an important service.

[ 🇳🇿 HAWKES BAY ] CRAGGY RANGE

Nestled beneath the spectacular Te Mata Peak in Hawke’s Bay, @craggyrangerestaurant is known for its award-winning wines and beautiful vineyard setting, making it a lovely destination for a special occasion. 🍷

This year’s birthday celebration with my sisters brought me here for the first time. I’ve visited Hawke’s Bay a couple of times, but dining at this @cuisinegoodfoodnz three-hats, Lion Hospitality Supreme Award restaurant has been on my list for a while.

We opted for the three-course à la carte menu so everyone could choose according to their own preferences.

I started with the celeriac and roasted swede tartlet with smoked cheddar custard, followed by halloumi with beetroot, walnuts and pine nut sauce — a different and delicious take on cheese. For my main, I had the pan-fried fish with parsley sauce.

My sisters tried the poached crayfish with buttery Thermidor sauce, raw fish, king crab raviolo with bisque, and slow-cooked beef short rib.

At $99 for three courses, I thought it was exceptional value for a restaurant of this calibre. A lovely

Always the best evenings at stunning Craggy Range!

A wonderful night supporting Heretaunga Women’s Centre, with an uplifting panel discussion featuring Juliette Hogan, Mary-Jeanne Peabody and winemaker Jordan Harper from Craggy Range. Inspiring NZ women sharing their stories and lifting others up.

And even better, catching up with wonderful friends AND meeting my favourite designer, Juliette Hogan!

8 North Island stays now hold one MICHELIN Key, which MICHELIN describes as a very special stay. It’s easy to see why :)

Eagles Nest | Bay of Islands
Five private villas on a ridge above Russell, each one designed to look out across the Bay of Islands. Bring in a private chef for the evening and there is little reason to leave the villa at all.

Park Hyatt Auckland | Auckland
Right on the waterfront, looking out across the Waitematā Harbour. A prime location with large suites, enjoy the view from your balcony before enjoying dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Onemata, featuring locally-sourced organic ingredients.

The Hotel Britomart | Auckland
Beautifully designed. This property is a stylish stay in the heart of downtown Auckland. It is New Zealand’s only 5 Green Star hotel, with famed restaurant Kingi downstairs to enjoy local cuisine.

Hotel Fitzroy | Auckland
Just ten rooms, set behind a restored villa in Ponsonby, close to the cafés and galleries. Breakfast comes to your room, and afternoon drinks and canapés are waiting when you return.

The Clements Hotel | Cambridge
A beautifully restored 1912 hotel with stained glass windows, a grand staircase and a speakeasy-style bar pouring its own gin. A fabulous location to stop overnight on the way south from Auckland.

Solitaire Lodge | Lake Tarawera
Nine suites on a private peninsula, with stunning views across Lake Tarawera. Take the lodge kayaks out on the lake, visit the thermal springs, then sit down to delicious five-course included dinner.

Craggy Range | Hawke’s Bay
Vineyard cottages and river lodges beneath Te Mata Peak. Take a cellar door tour, then finish with dinner at the on-site restaurant, a refined yet relaxed dining experience.

The Manse | Hawke’s Bay
A private country house among the Gimblett Gravels vineyards, with just two guest suites. Co-owner Gary has cooked in MICHELIN-starred restaurants around the world and creates your menus from the lodge’s own farm and orchard, with dinner by candlelight on the verandah and a single malt to finish.

Save these for your North Island itinerary planning.
