Quite a few of my friends call me a unicorn.🦄
They buy me unicorn gifts.
They send me unicorn cards.
And, tag me in anything unicorn-related.

If you ask them why - which I have repeatedly, believe me - some say it's because I see life through sparkly, rose-colored glasses.
Some say it's because I connect them to new friends and connections and nurture genuine relationships.
Some say it's simply because they've never met anyone else like me.
And, some say it's because I add magic to the lives of those around me.✨✨
I do believe I like that one best.👌🏼 On my last night in Nashville this past Thursday, after a week filled with travel, the CMAs, the BMI dinner and celebrating the successes of so many friends, a few of my closest Nashville friends - old and new alike - celebrated me and all the magic that is, has been and will be by kicking off my birthday month with a golden, unicorn-themed party a full 21 days before I celebrate my actual birthday here in Beverly Hills on November 30th.

Adorned in my sparkling champagne @CavanaghBaker short little number of a dress, we:
Enjoyed the delicious fare of my favorite Nashville restaurant, @lockelandtable.
Posed with a huge custom unicorn-addressed balloon from @Harlan.Ruby.
Stuffed our faces with the sinful @ThePuffyMuffin strawberry unicorn cake.
Late-nighted to the warmth of fire pits over at @UrbanCowboyBNB while listening to Bryan Adams and Don Henley.
Bonded over 80s one-hit wonders and snuggled together in prematurely frosty weather.
Broke glasses out of sheer jubilation and klutziness.
And, shared stories of all that we've been through together - as is prone to happen on nights of celebration with a "unicorn." To all of my Nashville friends at the party, those I shared time this past week, and those who couldn't make it out:
I love you so. 💗
Truly.
Madly.
Deeply.

Simply put, I wouldn't be who I am today without Nashville in my rearview mirror, and oh, how I love that she keeps coming up in my passenger seat time and time again.
She will always be the music on my radio in any car I drive, and her people who helped raise me will always be welcome passengers.
Thank you for the music & the magic.
