Certified Personal Trainer/Group EX Instructor/Father of 4 wonderful children & husband to the best woman in the world! KEEP GRINDING

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In Episode 37, Anna + Gregory break down a simple framework you can run on repeat while you coach (without stopping class) so you can make faster decisions when the room is:

Confused 😵‍💫
Fatigued 😮‍💨
Chaotic 🌀
Flat 😐
Or doing something unsafe 🚨

What “reading the room” actually means (and what it’s not)

The SCAN framework: Safety, Comprehension, Ability, Need ✅

How to pivot without rambling or overcoaching 🎯

How to coach the whole room (not just the front row) 👥

What to do when one person is hijacking your attention 🧠

This is the leadership skill that separates good from great.

Let’s build it. 💪

This one is for every instructor who’s ever dealt with :

🚨the member who shows up every day and refuses to recover
🫣the one who ignores modifications and goes rogue
📢the loud complainer who tries to run the room
🪡the emotional oversharer who wants you to be their therapist

We talk boundaries, safety, and the exact “coach scripts” we use to protect the room without turning into a robot.

And fair warning… Gregory got passionate, and the filter was basically nonexistent. A few swear words definitely made the cut.

Which instructor would you follow to the moon and back? 🌙

The one who knows everything?
Or the one who cares about everything?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. There are instructors whose passion is so infectious that you’d literally do anything they ask. They walk in, and you feel it. You want to be better. You want to work harder. You want to show up for them.

Then there are the experts. The ones with perfect form, flawless programming, all the certifications. But they teach like it’s just another class. Like they’re checking a box.

And here’s the thing—your members will choose passion over perfection every single time.

It doesn’t matter how much you know if you don’t show up like you care. It doesn’t matter how expert you are if you’re not invested. People follow people who are genuinely present, genuinely excited, genuinely invested in them.

The instructors who build real loyalty? They’re the ones who show up with intention. Who make it clear that this class, these people, this moment matters.

So the question isn’t: Are you good enough? It’s: Do you care enough? 💪
