📝 'The Vivo Centre' - Lyle Crear @nottinghamtrentuni ⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
'The Vivo Centre is the UK’s first state of the art community hub. It’s a revolutionary building that is a benchmark for it’s typology all whilst boasting impressive zero carbon design.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My site originally was a collection of terraced houses that was bombed during the blitz. The community asked that rather than rebuild these houses the area should be made into a green space. This idea of the natural growing from destruction really grabbed my attention and related to Sheffield’s social aims of becoming a city with more green spaces along with becoming zero carbon by 2050.’⁣
