New signage for @createdandfoundshop ‼️

This one is special, when I moved to okc in 2010 my family had Sara Sara Cupcakes on 9th street at the time. And my dad and I moved into the upstairs above the business. My whole middle school experience was spent on this block. Skateboarding with my homies at the freshly paved parking lot next to The Womb, my grandma worked at the cupcake shop, trading Iguana cupcakes for queso (@shevon_sharkness ), and playing basketball in the tin can that is now Kayli’s space! So many memories, Sara Sara was my first job! 😂

My crib was always the crib that the homies would stay at, skating downtown was right there, I had bottomless cupcakes at my house (lol), not to mention we had all the freedom in the world.

I spent a long time digging for these old pics of 9th st, you can see the Devon tower being built in the background. Crazy shit, super sick full circle moment.

Wow there are a lot of new faces here! Let me reintroduce myself!! My name is Kayli 👋 and here’s a little about me…

🌟 I’ve been married to my husband, Justin, for 11 years and counting! We have 2 amazing daughters! And 2 dogs!

🌟 I love OKC and happy to call this place home after coming here for college

🌟 100% self taught artist! Mostly work with embroidery and punch needle! Will admit I don’t know what I’m doing half the time, but I loooooove trying new fiber art techniques the most!

🌟 I love listening to romance audiobooks and Amy Poehler’s podcast while I work

🌟 A big tub of movie theater popcorn isn’t safe around me

POV finding inspiration, safety and collaboration at your local sewing club 🧵 This special piece was created for the “What does community mean to you?” @dnagalleries group show. I knew I wanted to make something representing the joy and friendships I’ve found at @sewklahoma! This club has been a vital piece in my creative process as a fiber artist and small business owner. It’s been a positive feedback loop learning new/better sewing techniques, gaining confidence in my craft and filling my cup! It’s a safe place to vent, giggle, share ideas and met with compassion, collaboration and support. I hope everyone finds a creative community. And if you need one…please join us at @sewklahoma! Last night, Created and Found was honored by the Independent Shopkeepers Association and its members receiving the “Aspiring Shopkeeper” award‼️ This Shoppie is for those who don’t have a brick-n-mortar (yet!) but busting ass around town doing Pop-Ups in the community! I also get to share this award with the wonderful business @redbudteaandapothecary who also won last night!

Oklahoma small businesses are unmatched and I’m so grateful we had a chance to celebrate and cheer each other on! So grateful for this city and @isaokla advocating for us and being the glue keeping everyone together.

I can’t believe I’ve been popping up as Created and Found for 10 years now…. Actually insane. I’m so happy I get to have a booth in @orangepeelokc and celebrate 5 years with them next month! Thank you to all the small businesses who let me pop-up inside your store and share my passion with your customers!

I can’t believe this is my job 💞 Thank you everyone!! I feel so seen and so grateful!

If you are wondering, it’s still a WIP but I’m loving the process 😮‍💨🧵 this entire sign will be hand punched with my trustee tool by @amy.oxford 🧶 using leftover yarn and thank goodness I have a lot left over!!

ONE YEAR OF FLASH HAND EMBROIDERY! 🪡🪡🪡 (part 2)

I started taking custom orders at pop-up markets and events to bring new life to vintage/pre-loved clothes with hand stitched designs. I came up with different flash sheets of hand drawn designs you could choose and place on the garment to create a truly one of a kind item!! Most of the time, I’d take the garments back to my studio to work on…but by the end of the year I was feeling more confident in my skills and offered on site hand embroidery!

My husband and my friends all had HUGE MASSIVE roles in figuring out how to bring this unique type of upcycled customization with hand embroidery to events around OKC! I’ve been sitting on so much content, I had to break it up into 2 parts 😮‍💨

Thank you so much to all those who showed up, bought a piece of wearable art, shared their embroidery tips, let me pop-up in their business! I can’t wait to keep Tattooing Your Clothes in 2026 🌟
