As we blissfully stepped into 2025, we’d like to take a moment to reminisce over all the beautiful smiles, friendships and (momentarily) lovers that met on the dance floor. 2024 was a rollercoaster that started with winning at Popgala Noord and ended with our first international club night in Faro, Portugal.

Dear community, thank you for making 2024 a special one 🖤

Let’s unite, fight, rebel, celebrate, dance and speak out even more in 2025. The world needs compassion, love and unity.

🇬🇧Make your way to the dancefloor and celebrate queer joy!

GLITCH (NL) will host their first international queer clubnight in collaboration with ARCM on 27-12-2024. GLITCH brings dear friends from Leeuwarden (NL) @renceau and @velocitymadegood_ and invited local legends @radial.av and @zayle.art to collaborate.

GLITCH encourages everyone to be the freest version of themselves. GLITCH is a safe space for the lgbtqia+ community. A safe space is a space for everyone where they can experiment and be themselves without judgement. This means that there is no space for discrimination or intolerant behaviour of any kind, but respect and love for one another. Expect a thrilling but safe night with visuals, art and club music.

COME CLAY WITH US!

I had so much fun working with @anne__brouwer @katarinakozhul and the one and only @wainman_design doing an artist residency in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. Together we found natural Friesian clay and made a pop up exhibition where people could come and create whatever they want with it. We found some sugar beets and I turned them into little plinths to display people's creations.

Thanks to @creative.embassies for having us. I hope we can all work together again in the future 😊

Come Clay With Us! ✨
It was fun to experiment with clay as a 2D medium to draw on the windows with in Leeuwarden. Everyone was so lovely and friendly and eager to get involved! I definitely will be painting on windows again, it’s a great way to create collaborative art work that is a one time only display. I love the value this experience holds. @creative.embassies

🎨 LEEUWARDEN RESIDENCY 🎧

✈️ On Sunday the 27th of November the exhibition called ‘Mooching’ took place in the @neushoorncafelwd in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. This exhibition resulted from the Leeuwarden residency, in which the artists Katerina from Rijeka, Croatia, Duggie and Jamie-Lee from Salford, UK, and Anne from the city of Leeuwarden itself collaborated on an art project during one week.

🌊 Throughout the residency they got to know each other and explored the city, and through this process the international group of creatives came up with the idea to invite the people of Leeuwarden to come to this exhibition and meet them. Though not through ordinary conversations, but by creating artworks together, either with sounds and voices, or with clay taken from the local Wadden Sea area.

🪁 This resulted in a fun, creative and playful afternoon full of interesting and meaningful encounters. See it for yourself on the pictures above.

🌍 We’ll share more about this residency and the ones in Rijeka and Salford, so stay tuned for more international creativity and connecting!

What happens when you take three artists from Salford, Rejika (Croatia) and Leeuwarden (the Netherlands) and put them together to explore, create and devise?

Our first @creative.embassies residency this September discovered just that, creating connections and crossing borders (both creatively and geographically).

Participant Mara Prpic from Rijeka, Croatia says: "The Creative Embassies residency throws you straight into the heart of the coolest culture scene - and you become part of it!"
