Celebrating one year since @g.harper.art joined our team as Gallery Manager 🌷💖🌷We are so grateful for everything she does for our organization in ways big and small. Her precision, grace, and big picture thinking allow us to continue to serve our community of craft artists across the state. Thanks a million Gillian!

In addition to leading our gallery team she is an accomplished metal artist, casting natural ephemeral materials and solidifying them in molten metal. Check out her incredible seed pod installation, “G+M^2” in “Formed by Fire” - on view now until October 24th 🩵

Pictured here, in order of carousel is Chroma, Crescita, Leather Boot, Heritage, Lace Collar, Faultlines, Halo Necklace, Prayer Beads, and Talking Timbuktu which will be on view at GLG for this iteration of Fiber Reimagined. The closing reception for the show will be TOMORROW, SEPTEMBER 4th 5 - 8 pm, with artist talks commencing at 6:30.

In collaboration with @fiberartnow , the popular exhibition returns for its fourth year at Gravers Lane Gallery. Innovative contemporary art created from fiber, recycled, and repurposed mixed media will be on display at GLG until September 5th, 2026. Congratulations to the artists, and thank you to everyone who came out in support of the fiber art community. We are so proud and happy to host Fiber Reimagined, and greatly look forward to future iterations.

Florida CraftArt is bringing makers, arts organizations, educators, and supporters together for a statewide conversation—and we’d love for you to be part of it.
This virtual gathering is designed to spark connections, share ideas, and strengthen the network of people and organizations championing craft across Florida. It’s an opportunity to learn from each other, promote what’s happening in your corner of the state, and explore ways we can collaborate.

As part of Florida CraftArt’s 75th Anniversary and our participation in Handwork 2026, we have been celebrating with two exhibitions: The Makers That Made Us, which recently closed and reflected on the artists and moments that have shaped our history, and Florida NOW (on view through June 13), a look at contemporary craft across the state.

This gorgeous exhibition is a must-see from Milton Mizell’s breathtaking portraits made entirely out of wood, to metal crafted like line drawings by Dominique Labauvie, to Wendy Bruce’s fabulously intricate fiberworks.

The past few days I had one of the best experiences in jewelry making. I had the honor to meet and learn from “ MaryLee Hu”.

✨Mary Lee Hu is an American artist/goldsmith known for her textile techniques in jewelry making. Unfortunately she doesn’t have social media, but I invite you to google her name and check out her work, her work is in museums all over the world.

It was a privilege and an honor to learn from her.

✨I also had the chance to meet fellow artist/jewelers… each one of them has breathtaking style.

And a big thank you to @oharastudios, @suzy.que1 and the @craftguildofdallas for inviting Mary Lee Hu to teach this class.
