The people, the trees, the homes, the land. All of it.

Still assessing. Still documenting the experiences. Still listening to the stories. Still showing up. Still helping.

There is so much more to a hurricane than the destruction we can see.

There are the experiences that stay with people long after the winds have settled. The fear of having to leave your home in the middle of a hurricane, seeking shelter at a neighbor’s house, not knowing what you might return to. The uncertainty, the vulnerability, the emotional weight of it all.

And while the physical rebuilding has already begun, the emotional healing will need its own time, attention, and space.

That is where my heart and work are turning next: creating spaces for healing, processing, connection, and restoration.

Because recovery isn’t just about rebuilding homes, clearing debris, or restoring power.

It’s also about restoring a sense of safety, finding our grounding again, and allowing ourselves to process what we’ve experienced.

The storm may have passed, but for many, the experience is far from over.

And healing, too, is part of disaster relief. ❤️

How are you? But for FR FR HOW ARE YOU?

Festival Update 💛 / Actualización del festival 💛

After the hurricane, we’ve been assessing conditions at The Landing and listening to the needs of our community. We’ve made the heart felt decision to postpone the Emerald Coast Hispanic Heritage Festival to Saturday, October 31, 2026.

We know this is another change, and we’re grateful for the patience of our performers, vendors, sponsors, partners, and everyone who has been looking forward to celebrating with us. Your safety and the community’s recovery remain at the heart of this decision.

We’re also exploring how the festival can create space to support our neighbors as they recover. We’ll share confirmed event details and ways to take part as soon as we can.

También estamos explorando cómo el festival puede crear un espacio para apoyar a nuestros vecinos mientras se recuperan. Compartiremos los detalles confirmados del evento y las formas de participar tan pronto como sea posible.

Thank you for standing with us. We look forward to coming together to celebrate our heritage, our resilience, and one another. 💚

Gracias por acompañarnos. Esperamos reunirnos para celebrar nuestra herencia, nuestra resiliencia y a nuestra comunidad. 💚

❤️ Our community is stronger together. | Nuestra comunidad es más fuerte cuando estamos unidos. ❤️

🌊 As the storm has passed, our hearts are filled with gratitude, hope, and concern for everyone along the Emerald Coast.

We know that many families, neighbors, and local businesses have been affected, and our thoughts are with everyone navigating the aftermath. During moments like these, we are reminded that community is about so much more than coming together to celebrate. It’s about showing up for one another when it matters most. ❤️

As we assess the impact of the storm, the safety and well-being of our community remain our greatest priority.

We are currently awaiting guidance from city leadership regarding the condition of The Landing Park before making any decisions about the Emerald Coast Hispanic Heritage Festival, scheduled for Sunday, October 18.
We remain hopeful and will share updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience, love, and continued support. Above all, please stay safe, look after your neighbors, and remember that our greatest strength has always been our community. 🇵🇷🇲🇽🇨🇴🇨🇺🇻🇪❤️
