One of the biggest shifts in my editing career was learning that not every part of the process requires the same brain.
 Some parts of editing are technical.

Some parts are creative.

And trying to do both at the same time is where a lot of editors get stuck, overwhelmed, or burnt out.
 Dumping footage? Technical.
