Mother Medicine was spent receiving the abundance of overflow from Mother, cleansing with her waters, purifying with her mud, grounding with her stone, attuning with her sound, and healing with her plants and flowers. Held at @rituellife and co-hosted by @palmacolectiva the art of receiving was truly in practice. We bathed ourselves in floral waters with the potent minerals of @creaturesoleil and were led in facial lymphatic massage with the nutrient rich oils of @danuta_skin. A huge thank you to @ikarencardoso who held us sound meditation and to all those who came to spend this devotional day with us.

Yesterday in Topanga, held by an exquisite circle of women, we remembered something ancient about how we ACTUALLY heal.

- Slowing down to the pace of nature.
- Attuning to our inner voice.
- Worshipping these precious bodies and wombs.
- Co-regulating in circle ⭕️ to share our stories, be witnessed, seen and held.
- Blessed by the plant 🌱 allies, herbs, elements, land and sky.
- Remembering who we really are.

We bathed in herbs and roses, received sound, touch and stories, and moved at the pace of the nature.

This is how women have always healed:

In circle.
In story.
In beauty.
In nature.
Inbodied.

Quietly sanctifying the complexity of life.

We honored:
- a messy divorce
- a recent double mastectomy
- a maiden preparing for her IVF transfer as a single mother
- a sweet mother-daughter grieving
- a woman unsure if she’d be able to have a 2nd child
- a mother preparing to empty nest and
- another navigating early motherhood-meets-perimenopause

This Mother’s Day, I’m holding every woman, the ones celebrating, the ones in complicated love with their mothers, the ones longing to mother, the ones grieving never having children, grieving wanting more children, grieving the loss of a child or loss of a mother, grieving the childhood they had or happy not to be one.

You are the great mother too. You deserve to be nurtured today and celebrated for your journey exactly as it is.

Happy Mother’s Day, in all the ways it finds you. 🌹
