You breathed and the sun poured into your mouth, a gulp of burning summer alongside a shiver down your spine that rises like when you dip your feet into a frozen river. The wind accompanied the trees and lifted you up as it slipped into the folds of your clothes. You could feel how, even standing still, everything kept following the flow of things, as it should be, as it always was. The sun on red bricks, the hiss of burning wood crackling red-hot, the howls at night, the flamenco claps in rhythm to scare off the bears…

The old borders had been left behind, abandoned to a bygone era — Yugonostalgia, Babnonostalgia to me. You'd cross over, and although the cobblestones changed shape and structure, the society and the people kept building on what had once been a union of veins and shared sweat. Thoreau's poems echoed in my ears, telling me to walk among trees so you'd come out taller than them.

"What if we cross the border into Croatia for a coffee?" said Marina. I don't know what gave me the bigger rush — the phrase itself or the caffeine in that sip. I remember walking through meadows, the bodies of Jernej and Marina blending together in their scarves and tan jackets. I remember Miha's smoking car wrapped in dust as he arrived with his backpack and "first aid kit," as if someone had called for a medic in the middle of the Normandy D-Day landings.

It had been a long time since I'd smelled that iron scent in my mouth, like an old barn, the guts of cleaning fresh fish. Clara's caresses as we held each other watching the pink sunset, running with foals, spotting foxes, blowing on bonfires to stoke the flames alongside the strike of the magnesium fire-starter, feeling love and warmth for people you felt you'd known your whole life, a crazy Slovenian man swimming the length of the Amazon, and so many memories...

A great part of my memories from that summer stayed anchored to that small patch of earth and that big group of people. Thank you for making the trees the roof that let me breathe. Hvala Jernej and Miha....

T'estime ☘️

I vas veient coses pel món que t'estan agradant tant i agraeixes que entre els dos em féssiu créixer amagat... 🤸

UGANDA & KENYA 3/3

La tierra pesa más que el país.

Me encuentro envuelto de ruido pero nadie habla más allá que un simple gesto, así hablan aquí.

Se gritan con los codos y se quieren con un chasquido de labios.

You just have to smile and they will smile back. I promise you.

Nos enjuagamos con Agwata red y veo a Clara estampar barro con ella...

UGANDA & KENYA 2/3

..we just went over the border, 19 hour bus just seemed a walk in the park with her, I'm so lucky to have her by my side. Couldn't ask for more to be honest, we were reading and at the same time bribing the police man, the stigma is all around but surface ir togheter, the mzungus . Mash Poa bus from Kampala to Nairobi, straight reagge and non stop laughs. Rituals and chana massala tea, @kitengela_glass and it's incredible colours. In the middle of all that, her, the glass that reflects all of the glances in this world. I take her hand and I close my eyes...

Destructible Memories: A powerful visual journey with @creaturom , a daring artist from Valencia. Through the raw and symbolic medium of mud, she sketches herself in a mirror, challenging the boundaries of creation and embracing the beauty of imperfection. Inspired by resilience, identity, and the recent mud crisis in her hometown, Clara's artistry becomes a reflection of strength and renewal. This visualizer captures the poetic essence of turning chaos into creation.
