The beautiful impact of mentoring showed up in a room together at the AANA 2026 Conference in Boston.

These are just a few of the Nurse Anesthesia Residents in attendance at the AANA Conference from across the country who attended a Diversity CRNA Info & Airway Simulation Lab Workshop as critical care nurses.

This iconic photo placed at the Ether Dome at Mass General since it was the site of the first public demonstration of surgical ether anesthesia in 1846.

Soon, they will be CRNAs. This is wonderful for our diverse patient population that needs us the most.

In August, three Nurse Anesthesia Program Directors will present on their respective doctorate programs at the Diversity CRNA 2026 Information Session & Airway Simulation Lab Workshop at Virginia Union University (August 7th - 9th)

Nurse Anesthesia programs represented at this immersive national award winning event:

Virginia Commonwealth University

Georgetown University

Mary Baldwin University

Marginalized critical care nurses interested in applying to CRNA programs across the country will attend and actively participate at this weekend event before placing formal applications.

This is a filled to seated capacity event with access to attend via Zoom session on Friday/Saturday (only).

I am deeply grateful for everyone’s support and encouragement leading up to my doctoral dissemination. This journey began back in 2022 and I haven’t looked back since. To sit here writing this post is still surreal. I am proud of the work of me and my classmate have done over these last few months in preparing to present our project. Thank you for everyone who attended my presentation in person and over zoom. It means so much.

Five more months until I can join the best professional in the world. My mission is still the same. Continue to pay it forward. The days are long, but the closer I get the more I see that it is all worth it.

These 4 Nurse Anesthesia Residents served on the panel and as airway preceptors at the Diversity CRNA 2026 Information Session & Airway Simulation Lab in Philadelphia.

Representing Virginia Commonwealth University, Mayo Clinic, University of Pennsylvania & La Roche University. All four of them met at a Diversity CRNA 2023 event as ICU RNs before applying to Nurse Anesthesia Programs.

This full circle connection that follows with supportive with CRNA mentors from across the country who look like them in hue and ambition.

An amazing weekend with incredible people and a family that continues to grow.

Exactly two years after attending my first Diversity CRNA event in Pittsburgh as an applicant, I returned as a current SRNA. A true full-circle moment.

Thank you, Dr. Gould, for believing in me and trusting me with this opportunity. Thank you to all the friends who supported me during my first time as a moderator, you all were amazing. And thank you to all the future SRNAs who attended this weekend for your kindness, energy, and inspiration.
