Today marked the end of our very first year of Croí na Foraoise @croi.forest.school 🌿

Looking back, I'm so proud of what we've built.

This little reel is a glimpse into what an ordinary day looked like this year... early mornings, packed lunches, teaching, forest school, children's activities and fitting in a travel business around it all.

It's busy.
Some days feel like there's never enough hours.
But I wouldn't change the journey we're on.

Building a second income hasn't made me rich.

It has given me options, helped create memories with my family and allowed me to dream a little bigger for our future.

Here's to Year 1 of Croí na Foraoise... and whatever comes next. 💚

If you've ever wondered how I fit everything in, or what I do alongside teaching, send me a 💚 and I'll happily tell you more.

As well as planting 5,651 trees at 346 schools this year as part of Coill na nÓg we hit the road recently with our programme partner @eflow_m50tolls to visit the 3 schools who also shared a €12,000 #OutdoorClassroom prize fund.

It was such a joy to visit Scoil Mhuire Borrisokane, #Tipperary, #Midleton CBS Primary School #Cork and Croí na Foraoise Forest School #Cavan.

We were amazed at all the incredible work to help local trees, hedgerows and connect young people to nature.

Thank you to all students and staff for such a warm welcome and continued success! @scoilmhuireborrisokane @midletoncbsprimary

💫💫💫 @croi.forest.school 💫💫💫

I had such a special morning visiting this incredible school to read my book to the children and I stayed around for a little while to observe this unique and beneficial Ethos in action.

I had the best chats with Caoimhe and Megan, who are two qualified Primary School teachers and they were so brave to follow their heart, passion and beliefs and open their forest school, where the benefits are limitless. 💫

Fear and doubt can really set in because of societal norms and expectations but these girls have only gone and done it 👏.

With 9 children enrolled this year and 30 for next year, I think the numbers will only continue to grow.

The girls so kindly purchased my book as a gift to each of the children which I am so grateful for 💖🥹

Lucky children and families ❣️
I wish them both nothing but success ✨️💫💖

We wrapped up our Halloween fun at @croi.forest.school this week 🎃

There’s nothing better than seeing the kids explore, create and get completely covered in mud 🍁

Feeling so grateful for what my sister and I have built together - a little space for adventure and fresh air 🌿

And even luckier that our own kids get to grow up experiencing it too 💚

Smores, play dough, stick bread in the fire. Treenets, saws and a giant mud kitchen. Building, running, searching. What a day it is for a child at Forest School with Megan and Caoimhe in Cavan!
