Our first night in New York (en route to Venice for my solo show at Alberta Pane Gallery), Carola Jain, one of the founders of @dminti.io , held a fabulous dinner party in honor of me and the incredible success of the "What If Women Ruled the World?" participatory quilt project. Here are some images from the evening; 1- Carola doing a presentation about the worldwide travel - and impact - of the quilt 2- With Jennifer and David Stockman. Jennifer, former president of the board of the Guggenheim, is part of Dmniti. David, a businessman and author, is a former U.S. Director of the Office of Management and Budget 3- With Anne Pasternak, Director of the Brooklyn Museum, Connie Butler, Director of MoMA's PS1, Catherine Morris, head honcho at the museum's Feminist Center 4- With Hakan & Baku Carmikli, collectors from Istanbul who acquired one of the quilts, who flew in for the dinner 5- The gorgeous table with pink and purple flowers (to match my hair, past and present)) with too many interesting people to name. I was seated between Jeffrey Deitch (who represents me) and a social justice collector named Lawrence Benenson, to whom Jeffrey introduced me some years ago after Lawrence acquired the drawing (and then a test plate) for the great 18th century feminist theorist, Mary Wollstonecraft 6- With Victoria Stockman who is the daughter of Jennifer and David Stockman, Jacqueline Sischy, Carola Jain, Jennifer Stockman, and Sam Hillmer from the DMINTI team
