I'm so excited to be bringing Rainbow Moves to our pals @cross.sea.movement in St. John's, Newfoundland!

We'll be hosting two classes:
🏳️‍⚧️ Rainbow Pilates - a contemporary Pilates class with an emphasis on core engagement, spinal stability, and mind-body connection
🏳️‍🌈 Rainbow Restore - a gentle movement class with elements of yoga, Pilates, and stretching

Always beginner friendly, always for the queers 💕 This in-person class is offered on a tiered sliding-scale basis - simply choose the price you are most comfortable paying.

These classes are in support of @thequadNL , a St. John's-based organization built to bring together 2SLGBTQIA+ people and organizations in Newfoundland and Labrador into a dedicated, shared space where resources, ideas, and support can be exchanged.

After a successful Bloom One-Year celebration, we want to take a moment to thank the funders who helped us bring our vision to life! 🎉
Bloom by AUE is a free community connection and well-being initiative, open to newcomers and other community members across Newfoundland and Labrador — and it just turned one! This program is generously supported by the @northpinefoundation, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), @cwthsportcan, and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

We also want to thank @thelotonharbour for welcoming us into their space and helping us host this amazing celebration, as well as @andersonsfoodtruck and @diablostacosbymustangsallys for partnering with us to accommodate special menus and serve delicious food.

We'd also like to thank @ogchimneysnl, @cross.sea.movement, @modoyogastjohns , and Airport Landing for generously providing us with prizes for our prize draws.
All of our partners and funders played a major role in bringing our vision to life. One year of Bloom, and the impact is undeniable: lives changed, connections made, belonging built. Most importantly, we helped people feel at home here in Newfoundland and Labrador by building a strong community. We are extremely grateful to be able to build an amazing community, and all of our funders have played a big role in this. 💛

One Year in Bloom was never just a celebration.

It's a story of memories made, connections sparked, and community built one conversation, one activity, one afternoon at a time.

Over the past year, we watched people walk in alone and walk out with friends. We watched people arrive nervous and leave confident. But no matter how they showed up, they all left with the same thing: A sense of belonging.

That's the whole reason we do this work, so you feel at home here in Newfoundland and Labrador.

On August 21st, we marked one full year of Bloom, and we were so grateful to share that moment with all of you. 💚

The connection doesn't stop when the event ends. Join our Bloom Community by Amal Unite & Empower Facebook group and stay connected.

Really excited to share that I am officially certified to teach Pilates! It’s been such a pleasure to learn with @cross.sea.movement over these last couple of months. I will be offering a clinical Pilates class at @alliancehealthnl starting soon! Stay tuned for details. In the meantime I have a new skill set to compliment my massage therapy practice. Exercise is essential to recovery and now I have more home care exercises in my toolkit to offer my clients.
