Day 1 of Overload, 2026.
Shii was straight heat I ain’t gon lie. I mean that as both enjoyable and HOT ASF. Meet some absolute cinema homies during this and some familiar faces too. I ain’t gon lie, I spent more than I expected but that’s aight. I’m too tired to right captions for each pic individually, but lemme know if I’ve missed your tag or if you see anyone you recognise and I’ll slap their @ in there. Leon Kennedy, going off duty.

#RESIDENTEVIL2026

finally got to see the new RE movie and us finally being fed a GOOD LIVE ACTION RESIDENT EVIL MOVIE AFTER SOOO MANY YEARS 😭😭😭

ty to mr organizer @quixotic_cosplays , dressed as luis serra from RE4R, for planning this movie night out and getting some of us to dress up for it 😭🙏

no spoilers but its actually a good stand alone RE movie and works even without our beloved RE characters 😭🙏 feels like the first time we were introduced to ethan winters from resident evil 7 and guess what? it was a GOOD GAME.

if u been an RE fan for years and wanted to watch a good live action RE movie, guys.... this is it... 😭🙏

i'll rate it a solid 8.5/10 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I didn't post this cos-test at the time cause I was really unsure about this cos on me, but looking back at the photos I'm actually ok with it?

I loveeeee Higurashi so much, I cant wait to do a actual photoshoot for Rena 🤎

I have had this cosplay for years now and it took me until this year to do her wig (my first glued hairline too).

Huge thanks to @cryptom_cos for making her cleaver for me, I love it!

Hoping one day to also cos some other characters from Higurashi too 🤞🏻

The Residents among the Evil.
One of my favourite pictures that I have from last con ngl, just looks damn good and everyone’s cosplay is heat. DAMN I’m handsome tho. I dunno what song to use ngl. Also makes me mad how skinny I am tho sometimes. Leon Kennedy, one of the biggest mfs in the series and I’m the skinniest, and almost, shortest one there like bruh. But I look handsome ash so it’s aight. 🗣️🔥

If I don’t have your @ and you see yourself, lemme know and I’ll slap it in there. 🗣️🔥

The 3 Kennedys.
We all ran into each other at the exact same time and had to recreate that shii. A fourth Leon came along but we already took the picture and it got too busy to do it again. 😔 Pretty happy with how the first pic came out lowkey, I look kinda… Cool and handsome. 🗣️🔥

Happy to say the first @theretroeventnz Cosplay Photowall was a success! Thank you to everyone who came by and got photos from us, we will absolutely be back for volume 8 in November!

And thank you again to Arrol and the team from @theretroeventnz and @geekinventory_ for inviting us to set this up! Absolute pleasure being there and not being cooped up in a corner in front of a fire exit like the last few times… 😅

OOKAAYYY retro event posting timeEEEE
first of all, im wearing a shitty (looksharp, yes, looksharp) wig bc I fucked up my initial wig and only had a couple days left before the event 🤡 i tried my best to style it good but what can i do with a looksharp/dollar store wig BAHAHAH 😭😭💀💀 pain

however, i WILL get a better wig next time bc im still bringing him over to armageddon in spring 😝 so hopefully i can style the next one much better since ive now learned my mistake NOT TO CUT IT TOO SHORT 😭😭😭 i hate long wigs lowk

secondly, this was my FIRST TIME going to retro and oh wow, have to say its actually GREEEAAATTT if you're looking for retro stuff. they have old stuff from the 2000s to the 90s and also some super rare action figures RAHHH I LOVE ME SOME RARE FIGURES!! OH and if ur into card collecting (like Pokémon cards) then this one is YOUR best bet!!! im not really into that but I sure have collected a couple pop vinyl and figures in there yesterday 😝😝😝

also thank u again to everyone and to my friends for making this day insanely memorable once again specially for my first time at retro it was AMAZINGGG!!! considering going to the next one again if so 🥹
