We bought a house! and No, we’re not getting off the road. ⬇️

We bought a house in Florida — sight unseen — but not because we’re done traveling.

After 5.5 years of full-time RV life, we’ve realized that having a place to land for part of the year might actually help us stay on the road longer.

A place to slow down in the winter.
A backup plan when RV life throws us a curveball.
A home base near people we love.
And eventually, an investment property we can share when we’re traveling.

For us, this isn’t choosing a house instead of RV life.

It’s choosing a version of RV life that feels more sustainable for the long haul.

And trust me… there are still a LOT of miles ahead. (Almost 3,000 miles to get to it!) 😂

Seventeen years ago, you made us Mom and Dad and gave us the greatest and most important role we will ever have.

Time has flown. We can still see that curious, adventurous, and slightly mischievous little boy in you, even as you grow into an incredible young man.

You have already lived an amazing adventure, but what makes us proudest is your heart. You are kind, compassionate, independent, and always able to see the good in others. You don’t follow the crowd. You continue to carve your own path.

Watching your journey has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives. We are so proud and so honored to be your parents.

Happy 17th birthday, Ethan. We love you more than words could ever express.

We made it to the UP! I hadn’t planned much for this travel season, so when friends had a summer in the midwest mapped out, we decided to join them for part of it.
This was a first for us!
We spent a month in the UP - beach days on Lake Superior, breweries and coffee shops, cliff jumping at Presque Isle Park, campfires and the girls even got to fly a plane with Young Eagles in Marquette. Whaaaat??

21 years of marriage. 26 years together.

Looking through these photos, it’s hard to believe how much life we’ve lived together.

We were so young when this story started. We basically grew up together. And somewhere along the way, we built a marriage, raised three incredible kids, moved across the country, chased dreams, changed plans, traveled, laughed until we cried, walked through hard seasons, celebrated beautiful ones, and created a life I’m incredibly grateful for.

Marriage hasn’t meant staying the same. We’ve both changed more times than I can count. We’ve grown individually and together, and through every season and every version of us, we’ve continued to find our way back to each other.

And after 26 years together, I can say this with certainty.

I still choose you.

I’d choose this life with you again.

I’d choose the adventures, the chaos, the hard days, the beautiful days, and everything in between.

21 years down, and I’d still choose you every single time.

Happy anniversary to us.

Guys, I’ve watched Crystal pour her heart into yoga and helping other women since 2012.

Everywhere the Coast Guard moved us, she’d find a group of women to teach, encourage, and help. It didn’t matter where we lived. Women just seemed to gravitate toward her. She has this calm way about her that makes people feel comfortable, and she really knows what she’s doing. She meets people where they’re at and helps them become a little better every day.

Now she’s finally taking it to the next level with her online coaching, and honestly, I couldn’t be more proud of her.

Leg day pump is officially done. We were supposed to get it in yesterday, but life got busy, so we made it happen today instead.

I trained in the sun, Crystal trained in the shade, but we both got the work done. There’s something about moving your body, breaking a sweat, and getting some early morning sunshine that just sets the tone for the rest of the day.

And if you’re lucky enough to train with your spouse, even better. You’re not just building a stronger body, you’re building a stronger relationship. Shared goals, shared struggles, and shared victories have a way of bringing people closer together.

Now go get after it.

One of the biggest fears we had before we started full-time RVing was losing our community.

We worried about leaving family, missing milestones, and whether our kids would have friends to grow up with.
What we didn't expect was the people we'd meet along the way.

Over the years we've shared campfires, celebrated birthdays, spent holidays together, helped each other through hard days, and watched friendships grow across state lines.

The best part? Our kids don't just have friends back home. They have friends scattered all over the country. The road has a funny way of bringing people into your life exactly when you need them.

Turns out we didn't leave our village behind. We just found a new one.
