I’m so glad Darren approved my suggestion of playing @the8bitbigband ‘s arrangement of Bob-omb battlefield as a part of our funk concert. This arrangement released the same year I started playing saxophone, and I’ve always wanted to have the opportunity to play it, and thankfully the opportunity presented itself.

UPDATED SCHEDULE April 🎹 This month is extra special – I’m honored to have been nominated for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley College of Fine Arts Alumni Merit award. It’s a privilege to return to my alma mater in South Texas to accept this recognition and give back to my community through clinics, masterclasses, in-class dicussons, and performances. I’m also looking forward to my first time adjudicating at the Universtiy of Northern Colorado Jazz Festival and leading the late-night jam. Come through!

Had an amazing experience today playing at KUVO Jazz in Denver with my CSU Jazz Combo! It was great to to play with these guys this semester and expand my jazz skills, culminating in this wonderful performance. Many thanks to KUVO for having us and giving us this great experience playing live on the radio!
