The Seattle Trans and Nonbinary Choral Ensemble had our busiest week ever!

Dr. Cee Adamson led our concert series “What Trans Joy Sounds Like” and got 57% more ticket sales over last June. People came from all around the Pacific Northwest and watched our livestream.

We got 120 thousand views across media platforms for the K-Pop Demon Hunter arrangement we performed - you can check out our full performance in our bio. We also sang at Benaroya Hall for the third year in a row with Rainbow City Performing Arts, and we were joined by Puget Soundworks.

We were featured in Seattle Gay News and KIRO 7. And, we met some amazing representatives and activists at the No Hate in WA State rally, including Congresswoman Jayapal!

We also had our first ever elected representatives speak at our Seattle concerts. Councilmember Dionne Foster and Alexis Mercedes Rinck both shared incredible words to our singers and our audience - we must work together and find joy amongst all of the tough things that are happening.

Our last shows of the month are on Vashon Island and at Trans Pride - tickets in bio. Thanks for making this the most packed pride month we’ve ever had.

Concertos in Chamber - Fall 2016 through Spring 2017; I continued to be very active in my High school Orchestra, not only performing as 1st chair Cello in the Varsity ensemble for a fourth year, but also serving as Vice-President of the Orchestra for a second year.

I was proud to be part of a very talented group who performed many difficult pieces, including the debut of a 9/11 memorial piece with the TXST Symphony. We were proficient; whereas other schools took months to prepare for state competition, we used two weeks and still received the highest possible scores on pieces with the highest difficulty. We practiced sight-reading (little-to-no practice of a piece before performance) several times a week, studied music theory and history, and had fun doing it!

I will always look back fondly on this time, not only on the fantastic music we performed, but the wonderful gigs we played and amazing people I performed with!

Eilish and I had the incredible privilege of participating in @spu_seattlepacific Lavender Graduation this weekend, an “annual ceremony conducted on numerous campuses to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally students to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the university” (Human Rights Campaign). For two hours we got to be washed over by a vision of what @spu_seattlepacific could be and it was GORGEOUS. Big thanks to @spuaffirm for the co-conspiring, to @ctfhanson for being not just the Master of Ceremonies but truly the mastermind behind this event, and to @happystretch_dogtraining who helped set E up for success as a co-cord-er with her mama. It is a dreamy thing to partner with such incredible humans and with this heart dog of mine. #spuaffirm #puppiesforjustice
